Call to Order: President Derick Rodriquez called the meeting to order. He gave a warm welcome to those in attendance and introduced Board Members present.

Budget: The budget was presented by treasurer Tricia Mitchell and Derick. Tricia, and much discussion ensued. A detailed budget for all line items can be found on the DV website. Tricia reported adjustments were made due to the following: * will use throwback uniforms again this year rather than purchase new * anticipate increase in players to register for spring * fundraising from Lax Vegas and Ahwatukee Lighting Corn Hole tournament. Scott Giesen inquired about whether or not there was currently a form or package for requesting donations for corporate sponsorship. Discussion followed regarding what potential corporate sponsorships should receive and it was suggested we locate the form that was created last year and revise it. Scott encouraged all booster members to give it some consideration and present ideas and suggestions at the next meeting. Motion: Moved by Erik Swanson and seconded by Scott Geisen that the budget be approved. The motion carried with all in favor.

Key Events: Derick announced that the web store (Graph-tex.com) for spirit wear was created and would be ready for sales as soon as Coach Dan had numbers for all players. He also had a sample of the ‘shooter shirts’ with the word EXECUTE (word selected by senior players) on the lower back hem and reported that the shirts would be available for Lax4Life in December. Additionally, Derick reported that both gloves and helmets would be available to order in the near future. The New S helmet will be white, gold and navy, cost $183.00 and take two weeks to arrive. The gloves will be the Maverick RX3 , also navy and gold, cost $141.00 and take 90-120 days to arrive. At least 12 orders are needed to order the gloves.

Committees: Derick briefly announced that volunteers would be needed for spring (team parents, banquet coordinator, Senior Nigh coordinator, stats, etc).

Registration: To date we have 35 registered players for Fall Ball. Registration is currently available on the DV Lacrosse website. Registered players will receive a new pinny, shooter shirt and shorts that will be ordered this week.

Coach’s Update: 1. Lax Fest Coach Dan Lannon announced Lax Fest and encouraged parents to register their players. It will be held at Will Nolan on November 4th; and the cost will be $40.00 per player. It is an all-day event that includes a clinic by Myles Jones (player from Duke). There will be 3 vs 3 games, plus a fastest shot competition. It was decided that we did not have enough time and manpower to sell concessions for this event. Coach Dan reported that there might be an option for interested participants to sign up and pay for the clinic portion only, but that is currently undecided. Parents are encouraged to attend; referees will be needed for the games. 2. Lax4Life Coach Dan met with DV alumni Megan Egan and Lisa McLaughlin and planning for Lax4Life is underway. This fund raising event will be held at Copper Sky in Maricopa on December 9, 2017. More information will follow as it becomes available. 3. Spring Break Games Coach Dan reported that he has already been receiving inquiries about DV playing unofficial games with out-of-state teams. He has scheduled games during the first part of the break, which will be March 9 – 13th. Additionally, he mentioned that there are six games with out-of-state teams scheduled, and he would not add any more games.

Adjournment: Derick Rodriquez moved that the meeting be adjourned, and this was agreed upon at 7:00 pm.
