Axcess Ontario Signs Integrated Systems Integrated Systems is targeting underserved communities in Ontario County

Canandaigua, N.Y., July 26, 2010 — Axcess Ontario, the public-benefit corporation that oversees the 180-mile fiber ring project in Ontario County, has signed a master agreement with Integrated Systems, an established provider of information technology services to government and industry.

Founded in 1983, Integrated Systems is a premier metropolitan area network service provider, with a proven track record in wireless and fixed wire communications that support a wide variety of voice, video and data solutions. “Integrated Systems will use our new partnership with Axcess Ontario to support our last-mile wireless broadband services, providing Internet and data services to underserved rural communities in Ontario County,” said Mark Hamilton, president of Integrated Systems. Integrated Systems is the latest in a series of service providers to recognize the benefits and tremendous potential of the fiber ring.

“The agreement with Integrated Systems is one of four that we’ve signed just within the past 12 months, demonstrating strong interest in providing competitive service to local institutions, businesses and residents,” said Axcess Ontario CEO Ed Hemminger. “We are working with our service providers to specifically target underserved areas in our community, such as Hunt Hollow, and are encouraging providers to develop and provide solutions in the near future.”

In addition to Integrated Systems, Axcess Ontario has also signed master agreements with Verizon Wireless, OneStream Networks, Layer 8 and tw telecom over the past year. The organization also has a master agreement with Finger Lakes Technologies Group.
