Lesson Summary: Workshop participants (teachers) will create audio clips, upload into soundcloud and embed it in their notes on the Notesmaster learning platform.

Lesson Objective: At the end of the session participants will be able to  install Audacity software on their laptops  record and edit audi clips in Audacity  upload the audio clip on to Soundcloud  use the embedded code to insert audio clip in their notes on Notesmaster platform

Intended Curriculum Learning Outcomes At the end of the session participants will be able to  install Audacity software on their laptops  record, edit and save audio clips in mp3 format  upload the audio clip on to Soundcloud  use the embedded code to insert audio clip in their notes on Notesmaster platform

Instructional Activities Facilitator will use the multimedia projector to show the following activities: Part 1 (± 50 minutes interactive session).  how to download and install the Audacity software and Lame mp3 encoder on the laptop.  how to use the software to record, edit and save audio clips (20 minutes)

Participants will carry out the different activities as the facilitator demonstrate it on the projector and create, edit and save a testing clip. Part 2 (20 minutes interactive session).  show participants on how to create an account on Soundcloud and - how to upload audio clip on Soundcloud - how to get and copy the file’s embedded code (20 minutes)  Show participants how to upload upload audio on Notesmater using the embedded code

Part 2 activities will be carried out after the participants have each created a clip that is based on their specific subject objective.

Learner Assessment (50 minutes interactive session) Participants will plan the short scripts (narrartion) for audio clip to use to create their interactive notes. Participants use the narrations to record audio clips and embed the final clip on the Notesmaster platform.
