ESSAY INFORMATION An essay is required as part of the application process for a GEICO Achievement Award. The essay should answer the question: Why am I the best person to receive a GEICO Achievement Award? It must be 600 – 1200 words, typed using an easy-to-read font and double spaces.
FACULTY LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION A letter of recommendation from a faculty member (professor, dean, advisor) is required as part of the application process for a GEICO Achievement Award. The letter must be on school letterhead, sealed in an envelope and officially stamped.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I fully understand that GEICO Achievement Awards are awarded based upon academic achievement and financial need. I ascertain that I meet the academic requirement of a 3.0 or above overall GPA, and that all information listed above is correct and true to the best of my knowledge. I also understand that the GEICO Achievement Award is to be used solely and entirely for school-related expenses, including but not limited to, tuition, payment of books and school supplies, and/or housing.
