1 Topic: Dry anaerobic digestion of municipal solid waste and digestate management strategies Speciality: - Bio-energy (biogas) production through dry anaerobic digestion – a PhD source of renewable energy, - Biogas production and waste treatment (Energy and environment), - Climate change mitigation through biogas production, - Design and operation of a pilot-scale reactor system for biogas production Topic: Comparative effect of encapsulated and coated calcium carbide on growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.) Speciality: - Reduction of nitrogenous pollution to water and air environments by use MSc (Hons.) of calcium carbide which produces acetylene (a nitrification inhibitor) upon its reaction with water - Increase in rice yield by a plant hormone ethylene produced by microbial reduction of acetylene

IPoS-2008 Participated in a week long workshop under “Intensive Program on Sustainability” on theme of “Cities and sustainable transport” held in Tokyo, Japan.
APIEL-2009 Attended a week long workshop under “Asian Program for Incubation of Environmental Leaders” on theme “Sustainable solid waste management in Asian developing countries” held in Bangkok, jointly organized by AIT, Kasetsart University and Tokyo University.
APIEL-2010 Participated in a week long workshop under “Asian Program for Incubation of Environmental Leaders” with the name “Young Environmental Leaders Summit 2010” on theme “Corporate social responsibility in terms of environmental protection” held in Hokkaido, Japan. EIA-2012 Conducted a two-days training on EIA with the title “Environmental Impact Assessment for a Gas Pipeline Project” for professionals of “Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Ltd., Bangladesh” organized by AIT Extension program of AIT, Thailand.
