Happy Fathers Day !!!

Father's Day Gifts Jean de La Fontaine once said, "It is impossible to please all the world and one's father." Nothing can be more wrong. Dads have been known to instill confidence in their 3 children since generations. They praise the smallest of their achievements, the most basic of their abilities and though they may not express it so often or gush and rush to us to hug and kiss so often like Moms do, we know how they admire us secretly. It is the power play and stern role that they often have to play in the household, which forces them to control their emotions. This is why, we love it every time we manage to get praise from our Dads because we know that it is sincere and is not biased. Choose the gifts for your dad carefully, keeping in mind his personality and habits and hit the jackpot by getting a smile in return: Here are some of the ideas that you might use to please your father and show him how much you love and care for him. Read and pick up a gift that suits your father personality.

And in the end, just remember, it is the thought that counts.

DAD God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... DADDY If all these Kisses aren't enough, There's two hands to help with garden stuff. If all these hugs don't work their charm, There's two arms to help keep you warm. If this gift doesn't show how much we care, We have REAL hugs & kisses to share!

DADDY'S HANDS I remember daddy's hands folded silently in prayer And reachin' out to hold me, when I had a nightmare 5 You could read quite a story in the callous' and lines Years of work and worry had left their mark behind I remember daddy's hands how they held my mama tight And patted my back for something done right There are things that I'd forgotten that I loved about the man But I'll always remember the love in daddy's hands Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin' Daddy's hands were hard as steel when I'd done wrong Daddy's hands weren't always gentle but I've come to understand There was always love in daddy's hands. I remember daddy's hands workin' 'til they bled Sacrifised unselfishly just to keep us all fed If I could do things over, I'd live my life again And never take for granted the love in daddy's hands By Holly Dunn

DADS Delightful and loving, Loved and admired, Dad, you're my hero, My life you've inspired. And when all my blessings Are counted each day, I thank God in heaven For Dad when I pray. Dad thanks for your presence Throughout thick and thin; You're more than a parent, You're my wonderful friend. By Ken Brown

OUR FATHERS Our fathers toil with hands and heart To make our lives complete. They quietly brave the winter cold, Endure the summer heat.

Our fathers' lives are busy, but There's always time for us. They boldly face the ups and downs And seldom ever fuss.

Our fathers are the greatest dads. We know you know this, too. 6 But thank you for the chance to share Our love for them with you.

IT's SO NICE TO HAVE A DAD AROUND THE HOUSE DADS are special people No home should be without, For every family will agree They're 'SO NICE TO HAVE ABOUT' - They are a happy mixture Of a 'SMALL BOY' and a 'MAN' And they're very necessary In every 'FAMILY PLAN' - Sometimes they're most demanding And stern, and firm and tough But underneath they're 'soft as silk' For this is just a 'BLUFF' - But in any kind of trouble Dad reaches out his hand. And you can always count on him To help and understand - And while we do not praise Dad as often as we should, We love him and admire him, And while that's understood, It's only fair to emphasize His importance and his worth - For if there were no loving Dads This would be a 'LOVELESS EARTH'. By Helen Steiner Rice

DAD, I LOVE YOU Walk a little slower, Daddy, Said a little child so small. I'm following in your footsteps And I don't want to fall. Sometimes your steps are very fast, Sometimes they are hard to see; So, walk a little slower, Daddy, For you are leading me. Someday when I'm all grown up, You're what I want to be; 7 Then I will have a little child Who'll want to follow me. And I would want to lead just right, And know that I was true; So walk a little slower, Daddy, For I must follow you. Did I ever say thanks for all the toys you mended, games we played, outings to the park, and the way you always tried to cheer me when I was down? Did I ever say thanks for the sacrifices you made so I could be involved in so many enriching activities? Did I ever say thanks for working so hard to provide for our family? Did I ever say thanks for having such faith in me and always being there when I needed you? Most of all, Did I ever say thanks for caring? DAD, I LOVE YOU

What Is A Dad? A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again. A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt. A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, 8 scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail... Dad, you're everything a dad should be and some. By Susan Ceylise

Fathers seldom say "I love you" Though the feeling's always there, But somehow those three little words Are the hardest ones to share. And fathers say "I love you" In ways that words can't match - With tender bedtime stories - Or a friendly game of catch! You can see the words "I love you" In a father's boyish eyes When he runs home, all excited, With a poorly wrapped surprise. A father says "I love you" With his strong helping hands - With a smile when you're in trouble With the way he understands. He says "I love you" haltingly, With awkward tenderness - (It's hard to help a four-year-old into a party dress!) He speaks his love unselfishly By giving all he can To make some secret dream come true, Or follow through a plan. A father's seldom-spoken love Sounds clearly through the years - Sometimes in peals of laughter, Sometimes through happy tears. Perhaps they have to speak their love In a fashion all their own. Because the love that fathers feel Is too big for words alone!

That is the thankless position of the father in the family - the provider for all, and the enemy of all. - J. August Strindberg

There are often situations and times when we forget to hug our Dads and kiss them and tell them that we love them like we do to our mothers. We assume him to be the provider for the family and all that we want and ponder over the fact that how hard he has to work to get us our daily breads and clothes. We become selfish and all we think about is ourselves. From the time, when we worship our beloved Pops for all that he knew and all that he could, we move on to a rebellious teenage, when we make it a point to argue about everything and anything that he advises to us. Sometimes, by the time when we realize how much he has sacrificed for us and how often he has stood up against the destiny to protect us from the hard blows of life, it is too late. Now, is the time to show your Dad that how much you love and respect him and how much you care for him.
