Upon completion of the workshop, participants should be able to: • Apply techniques to extract RNA from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples • Describe the difference between qPCR and Nanostring platforms and their uses • Apply methods for qPCR and analysis including how to study genes of interest • Apply data analysis techniques to normalize a dataset for Nanostring • Apply methods for Nanostring and analysis including how to generate graphs to show changes
