WHAT MAKES A HERO? A VETERANS DAY FILM & PANEL DISCUSSION

NOVEMBER 9, 2017 2:00-3:30 PM ROCKVILLE CAMPUS, SC/152

Military experiences can vary greatly and so can a veteran’s feelings

associated with their service. After a screening of the short BBC

documentary, “What Makes a Hero?”, a panel of veterans will share

their views on the culturally complex issues of what it means to be called a hero, to be thanked for their service, and to be asked to discuss

their military service. Light refreshments will be provided.

This event meets the FY18 multicultural requirement for employees.

Any faculty who wish to bring their classes are asked to contact cathy.galasso@montgomerycollege .edu by Nov. 2. For disability-related accommodations, please contact Cathy Galasso-Schwartz, 240-567-5027 or cathy.galasso@montgomerycollege .edu , by Nov. 1 to allow sufficient time to make necessary arrangements.
