Dishwasher Needed at Catered Creations, Inc. after school 2-3 Nights a week and Possible Saturdays We are looking for someone who has the following:
Position Summary The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • Understanding the knowledge of safety and sanitation • Must be dependable • Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment • Must be able to work in a team environment • Must be able to take direction
Position Responsibilities: • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine • Sort and stack clean dishes • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour • Wash pots, pans and trays by hand • Remove trash and garbage to dumpster • Set up or break down dishwashing area • Clean and roll/unroll mats • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions • Sweep/mop floors • Sweep up trash around exterior of building and garbage dumpster • Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry • Full compliance with the Department of Health regulations • Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions: • Use of sight, reading, wrist movement to transport dishware, operate service equipment and clean food service areas • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception • Noise level is moderate to loud • Work extended hours during summer and holiday season • Work weekends (and holidays as needed) All job descriptions are subject to a periodic review. Additional duties will be assigned occasionally by management. • Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and, scooping. • The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands • The employee will regularly be required to lift up to 30lbs and occasionally will be required to lift up to 50lbs.
Pay will be minimum wage to begin with a wage review after 90 days of employment.
