Here Am I, Send Me

"Here Am I, Send Me!" Is. 6:1-8 Intro. We, as God's people, all have a job to do. The Lord in his abundant knowledge and wisdom has given us all talents and abilities to serve Him with. The sad part is that when the Lord calls a lot of the time we don't listen! Isaiah, here in chpt. 6, has a vision of the Lord. He saw the Lord sitting on His throne, high and lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the temple. To Isaiah, seeing God sitting on His throne emphasized that the Lord is the True King!! The Lord’s long robe speaks of His royalty and majesty. As the Seraphims cried out, Isaiah saw the Temple shake and then fill with smoke. The shaking represented the awesome presence and power of God. The vision had a profound effect on Isaiah. It made him realize some things about himself. And when we realize what an awesome God we serve it will have profound effect on us also! Because of the Vision Isaiah saw: (1) He was Convicted of Sin Text: Is. 6:5 Is. 64:4-6

(2) He was Cleansed of Sin Text: Is. 6:6, 7 1 John 1:9

(3) He was Committed Unto the Lord Text: Is. 6:8 Luke 9:23 Closing: Do you realize how awesome our God is? There is no greater power on Earth or in Heaven. When we look at Him, then at our lives, it makes us sorrowful that we don't do more for Him. PS. 119:12
