Students will create a set of index cards to help them correctly identify and understand various North Carolina wildlife species. Students will investigate three categories of NC Wildlife, including: North Carolina Fish, North Carolina Birds, and other North Carolina Animals (mammals/insects/amphibians). Each card will have two sides. Side one will have a color picture of the organism. Side two will have the common and the Latin name of the organism in addition to the following five identifying factors: Habitat, Diet, General Description, Role Played in the Ecosystem, Agricultural Impact.
