Update on Happenings Bulverde Jubilee – Booth to promote upcoming events, website, community guide – handed out fans and visited with many in out community regarding events – promoted Market Day/Drug Collection, Shred Day Drug Take Back Collection - Joint effort with Bulverde Police & Comal County Sheriff’s office – Collection locations – Bulverde City Hall & BSB Fire & EMS Station #1 Collected 75 lbs of just pills etc. Great community relations day. Market Day – 138 Vendor booths sold Sold 2500 raffle tickets for over $2,000 in income Total income for 2015 - $14, 250 – budgeted for year profit of $9,970 Mayor Krawietz provided Print of Ariel view of Market Day Leadership Program - T-Bar-M Day – Harry Truman & Dr Beach facilitated - group worked well together – Education Day – Melinda Taylor, Susan Herr & Steve Stanford facilitated – very good day Election of Leadercast officers – Pat Rodriguez – President Shred Day – Scheduled for October 17th – 3 sponsors – Thank you to American Bank, Tolbert CPA and Bookkeeping by Val Started at 9 am and by 11 am the truck was bulging – handed out coupons to return following Saturday – 16 chamber members with 118.5 boxes, 42 community members with 179 boxes – Collected $541 Following Satuday cancelled due to rain – answered calls and gathered emails, phone # etc Oct 31 – set up at the Old Bulverde Fire Station - 34 drops with 136 boxes, collected $183 Income $1,324 – expense - $675 = $649 profit New Member Orientation – Oct event scheduled – BSB Library – bust – lack of publicity Membership Investment Tiering – Sponsorship Packages – Commitments so far – DJL – Singing Hills – Platinum Sponsor GVTC – Gold Sponsor Frost – Gold Sponsor Kathleen Banse – Bronze Sponsor Member Retention - Thank you cards – Set up onboarding process and continued contact. New Office Location – Store front & monument signs installed. Final costs for all - $2,142 Rodeo – February 6 & 7th – Saturday Night 7:30 - VIP night – Whiskey Rodeo dance band Sunday Matinee – 2:00 – Family day (coloring Contest winners invited) Madison McDonald – renowned Trick Rider performing Sat & Sun Chamber Rodeo won Best 1st time Rodeo with purse of $6,500 & up – CPRA Sponsorship Commitments $39,700 at this time. Bulverde Christmas Lighting – joint effort between, City of Bulverde, Friends of the Village, SB BV Lions Club and Chamber – November 27, 2015 o Over 35 vendors participating o Sponsors covering cost of printing school fliers (8,750), program, giveaways, bags and snow o We do not have insurance coverage – Thought Spring Branch Bulverde Lions Club Insurance was covering; however, it does not. Pricing coverage at this time. o We will need workers to help with booth Job Fair – joint venture with BSBEDF 16 employers represented (3 only job posting list) 116 potential employees attended Waiting on responses from Employers – but Whataburger alone hired 17 All employers were very pleased – several potential new members
