Review Previous Lesson Toe Taps Keep 1 foot on the ground while the sole of the other foot traps the top of the ball. Hop and switch feet until signal (2 minutes). Side Taps Straddle ball, and tap from R to L with the inside of each foot until signal. (2minutes). Ball Fakes Set the ball slightly in from of you and place 1 foot on top Move that foot in a circle around your ball without touching it. Alternate feet until signal ( 2 minutes). Drop Trap Hold the ball shoulder high. Drop it quickly, and trap it under 1 foot. Alternate feet until signal (2minutes). Drop Tap Hold the ball shoulder high. Drop it, and use the top o 1 foot to top the ball back your hands. Point your toes to make a flat surface for tapping. Alternate feet after 5 every taps until signal (2 minutes). Pull Backs Keep all your weight on 1 supporting leg, and place the other heel on the ball, Pull the ball behind you by rolling it along the bottom of your foot; then turn around an tap it with you other foot. Alternate feet until signal (2 minutes). Lesson: Teaching Cues (Whole Group) Plant non kicking foot next to ball Swing kicking toes towards ball Turn kicking foot at last second-toes point out. How many passes can you complete in 30 seconds? How quickly can you make 10 pass? Station One: Get into a Triangle and have 1 player stand in straddle position halfway between the other 2 players. Pass the ball back and forth through the straddle’s legs. (Monkey in the middle set -up) Pass the ball back and forth through the straddles legs. Change after 20 complete passes. Station Two: Same formation as Trio Straddle Pass-Through. Passer stands a bit closer to the straddle. Straddler doers slow jumping jacks. Passers have to time their pass through the leg. After each person has been the Straddler twice, have the passer run immediately to switch roles with Straddler. Station Three: Gottcha Soccer: Partner position near wall and pin or small cone . Object I to knock down the pin over using one of the push passes. On partner starts the activity and, if successful in knocking th pin the pin over, the other partner must try to make the same type of pass using the same foot. If unsuccessful, the partner gets a letter S. Continue in this way until one partner gets “Soccer”. ZiG Zag: Set up cone have students Zig zag in and out of cones.
