A Western Dairy Hot Issue Seminar

Your Dairy Service Levy in Action Funded by Farmers through Western Dairy & Dairy Australia

A Western Dairy “Hot Issue” Seminar

Wednesday March 17 10am – 3pm at Abbey Beach Resort, Bussell Highway, Busselton

(Registration desk, tea and coffee from 9.30am)

Are your cows efficient feed converters?

 Do you know if they are? (Or do you just think they are?!)  Could they be better?  Is it worth being better?  And how much better should you strive to be?  And how do you get better anyway?

Dr Ian Lean, principal of Strategic Bovine Services joins with Dairy Australia’s Dr Steve Little and local nutritionist Dario Nandapi to answer these questions as they identify the target feed efficiency ratios for WA dairy feeding systems and provide strategies to improve the performance of these systems.

By way of background, we recommend you visit www.dairyaustralia.com.au/dairylive and download the podcasts and supporting documents on feed conversion efficiency. This hot issue seminar takes the key issues raised at DairyLive and applies and interrogates them against a WA systems background.

The seminar is complimentary to all dairy farmers and dairy farm service providers (with lunch provided) but prior registration is essential.
