Folsom Jr. Bulldog First Round Playoff Game Scores- 10/24/15 Mighty Mites 36, Woodcreek 0 The Mighty Mites opened the first round of the playoffs with another dominant performance over Woodcreek. As they did in a prior regular season game against Woodcreek, the second seeded Bullpups put the game into a controlled scrimmage in the 3rd quarter.

The offense was once again led by Kayden Hoang who whipped the fans into a frenzy as he rushed for over 100 yards and scored twice. Aric Anderson and Jordan Triplett also had several great runs with each also scoring touchdowns. Jacob Bambino displayed his throwing prowess as he threw a perfect pass to Garett Hicks that resulted in a 50 yard gain. Later, Hicks also contributed to the rushing chaos as he too scored a touchdown. As in previous games, the iron leg of Michael Seabourn accounted for several PAT points.

Defensively, Linebacker Blake Nycum made his fierce presence known as he was responsible for several tackles. Other pups that contributed to the defensive havoc included Triplett and Logan Hara who each broke up pass plays and made key tackles. Issac Harder had a key quarterback sack and several tackles and Ike Okoye had a momentum ending fumble recovery. Other pups who made key tackles included Hoang, Tariq Lofton, Joshua Dennison, Brooks Dupree, Tristan Querry, Luke Sorenson, Mason Brawley and Mason Fears.

The Mighty Mites are now preparing to take on rival Del Oro in the second round of the playoffs which take place this Saturday at Folsom High School.

Jr. Pee Wees 18, Del Oro 24 The Jr Pee Wees season ended with an OT loss to Del Oro Saturday. After a rough start in the first half, the team battled back from a 18-0 deficit to tie the game. The defense struck first putting points on the board with a safety. Key passes from QB Carter Martinelli to Justin Hanzelka and an interception by Mason Norberg helped to set up touchdowns by Martinelli and Ayreon Smith. Martinelli kicked in two clutch PATs, tying the game in the fourth quarter and sending it to OT. In OT, the Jr Pee Wees weren't able to score and ultimately fell short.

The boys showed a tremendous amount of heart on Saturday, fighting like Bulldogs until the very end. The coaching staff is proud of the boys not only for the poise they showed this weekend but also for the progress they made this year.

The Jr Pee Wees would like to thank all of the parents for their support this season. We'd also like to give a special thank you to our team parent Patty Henslee for all of her hard work. Best of luck to the rest of the Jr Bulldog family next weekend, GO DOGS! Pee Wees- Bye
