Give your child a memory to last a lifetime, purchase a letter jacket for them. If you are interested in purchasing a letter jacket, the NWHS Boosters Club is holding a letter jacket sale on Wednesday December 2nd from 3:00 to 7:00pm outside of the gym. A representative from Athletic House will be there to fit your son/daughter and take your order. For each jacket sold, Athletic House will make a donation to the Boosters Club, which in turn will help each of the students at this school. Food Drive

IT’S NOT TOO LATE! We still need donations. Please bring non-perishable food items to your first period class. The Northwest High School PTSA and Northwest Key Club is co- sponsoring a food drive to benefit Germantown HELP, Gaithersburg HELP and Manna Foods through December 17th. Our goal is to reach 100% household participation with the food drive in order to help stock these food pantries.

Please help to feed those in need by supporting the food drive. For questions, contact Donna Rojas, PTSA Outreach Committee Chair [email protected] or Marlene Breeding, Key Club sponsor [email protected].

Thank you for your generosity!

Gift Wrapping at Lakeforest Mall *SSL Hours Opportunities*

AMC Cancer Research Center operates the annual Gift Wrap at Lakeforest Mall, with help from the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery Village. All proceeds go to charity. There is a very large assortment of beautiful papers (much more than just Christmas wrap), ribbons, and bows; we can handle unusual sizes and shapes; we can wrap just about anything. You can leave your gifts for us to wrap and pick them up later, if you wish. We have many happy customers who come back year after year!

We also offer an opportunity for students to perform their community service required for high school graduation. AMC is an approved Student Service Learning (SSL) agency and this project is pre-approved for SSL by Montgomery County Public Schools. It's an excellent way to earn SSL or Honor Society/Service Club credits. Everything you need to know about our project is on our website at http://mysite.verizon.net/jhhorwitz/.

Please bring us your presents to wrap and yourselves to help!

Boot Camp This winter, we are offering an SAT prep course that's a little different: a four-day rigorous, comprehensive SAT Boot Camp that prepares high school students for upcoming SATs and the college application process. My colleague James Gao and I are recent graduates from Stanford and Yale who both have extensive SAT private and group tutoring experience. We keep our classes small, with two teachers working with no more than 12 students in each class, so that we can focus on the strengths and weaknesses of each student and give plenty of individualized help. We go over countless practice problems and practice tests to reinforce our instruction. In addition to four days of SAT prep, we give detailed, personalized advice in one-on-one sessions on putting together a strong college application.

To find out more about SAT Boot Camp, please read below or visit our website http://www.satbootcampmd.com.
