Southmoore High School Link Crew believes that no resource is as important as the human resource. According to the Oklahoma Department of Education: Cleveland County has a 24% high school dropout rate and statistics show that if a student is successful in their freshman year of high school they will have a better chance of graduating on time. This is why Link Crew is such an important organization, not only to Southmoore High School but also to the Moore community. Link Crew is a mentoring program that focuses on freshman by assigning an upper classman mentor to a group of 5 to 8 freshmen. This mentor makes contact with their freshmen group and promotes freshman activities throughout the school year. These activities are: Freshman Orientation, Freshman Nights at sporting events, after school study nights, and various other activities designed to engage freshmen in the Southmoore culture and promote good citizenship at Southmoore High School and society as a whole.

Link Crew has grown in size and has taken on the challenge of providing more opportunities for freshmen to become involved at Southmoore High School. That is why we, the current members of Southmoore Link Crew along with our sponsors, are asking the community to come along side us and help us in our effort to make a difference in the academic life of all Southmoore freshmen.
