DESPERATE SNATCHER CUM AUTO LIFTER NABBED

With the arrest of a desperate snatcher-cum-auto lifter namely Narender Singh @ Babu ( Age 27 years ) r/o RZA-5, Nanda Block, Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi, police personnel of P.S. Dabri, South West District have worked out seven cases i.e. four cases of chain snatching and three Motor Vehicle theft cases. Three gold chains and two stolen motorcycles have been recovered at his instance.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Accused Narender Singh @ Babu (Aged 27 years) s/o Jagat Singh r/o RZA-5, Nanda Block, Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi is a school dropout from 8th class. He is married and has two daughters. He has been staying alongwith his parents in the area of PS Dabri. His father is a Ex. Airman. In the month of Feb. 2013, he was arrested in three cases of snatching and MV theft. He remained in jail for two month and after being released, he again resorted to crime. He has following previous involvements:-

1. FIR No. 24/2013 U/S 379IPC PS Sagar Pur, New Delhi. 2. FIR No. 11/2013 U/S 379 IPC PS Palam Village, New Delhi.

3. FIR No. 11/2013 U/S 379/356/34 IPC PS Dwarka Sec. 23, New Delhi.

GIST OF THE CASE:-

Complainant Smt. Meena Sharma reported that on 17/07/2013 at about 8.30 AM she left home for office and was going towards Palam Dabri Road bus stop. When she reached near Kotak Mahindra Bank, two motorcycle borne persons came and snatched her gold chain. She raised an alarm but the duo managed to flee. A case vide FIR No. 396/13 u/s 356/379 IPC was registered at P.S. Dabri and investigation was taken up.

OPERATION AND BREAKTHROUGH

In order to apprehend accused persons, a team comprising of S.I Gaje Singh, H.Ct. Bijender Singh, H.Ct. Mangtu Ram and Ct. Jaffar under the supervision of Insp. Naresh Kumar was constituted. On 21/7/2013 an information was received that accused involved in this case would come to the area of PS Dabri. The team laid a trap in front of Barat Ghar, Palam Dabri Road and checking of vehicles was intensified. Later on, a person on motorcycle No.DL-4S AL 2300, Bajaj Pulsar, Black Colour came from Palam side, Due to police presence, he stopped his motorcycle at some distance and tried to flee. The motorcyclist was overpowered immediately by the team and was interrogated at length. He couldn’t give any satisfactory reply with regard to the ownership of the motorcycle. On checking, the motorcycle was found to be stolen vide FIR No. 85/13 u/s 379 IPC PS Sagar Pur, Delhi.

INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI

On sustained interrogation, accused disclosed that he is engaged in photo framing work at Vikaspuri, Delhi, but he wanted to lead a lavish life. He also revealed that he had been arrested earlier also for the offences of chain snatching and MV theft and spent months in jail, but he resorted and crime again. In pursuance to his confession, the team succeeded in recovering three gold chains and two stolen motor cycles at the instance of accused Narender.

Further investigation of the case is in progress. Police Personnel involved in this good work are being rewarded.

ILLICIT LIQUOR SUPPLIER ARRESTED-156 BOTTLES RECOVERED

Police personnel of Police Station Tilak Nagar, West District have done a good work during patrolling duty by arresting one person namely Sameer Khan and recovered 156 Bottles of illicit liquor (HR) along with Santro car bearing No DL-8CF-3823 from his possession.

NAME AND PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON

Sameer Khan s/o Naseem Khan r/o WZ 118 C Tihar Village Delhi, age 21 years. He is a driver by profession.

RECOVERY MADE

1. One Santro car bearing No DL-8CF-3823, being used for transportation of illicit liquor. 2. 156 Bottles of illicit liquor.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

On 20-07-2013, HC Amrit Singh No 2995/W was on patrolling duty in the area of Vishnu Garden Tilak Nagar. When he reached near Electricity House, he noticed that a Santro car bearing No DL-8CF-3823 was parked there. The above said accused was present in the car at the driver seat. On suspicion, HC Amrit Kumar informed Duty Officer of PS Tilak Nagar for backup to reach car and the accused person. HC Deepchand No. 1806 and Ct Anil No 1830/W immediately reached the spot. The said car was checked and 156 Bottles of illicit Liquor of (Haryana) were recovered. Hence, a case FIR No. 371/13 U/S 33 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS Tilak Nagar and the investigation of the case was taken up by HC Deepchand, No 1806/W.

NOTORIOUS AUTO LIFTER ARRESTED

Police personnel of Police Station Tilak Nagar, West Distt. have done a good work by arresting one autolifter namely Sahil while he was stealing one motorcycle No. DL-4SCA-0294 and recovered the motorcycle from his possession.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

On 21.07.2013, HC Sanjay No.2104/W and Ct Ashok No 1318/W were on patrolling duty in the area of Mahavir Nagar, Tilak Nagar. At about 3:00 PM, when they reached M -1 Mahavir Nagar, Tilak Nagar they saw a gathering of some people on the road. On asking it had come to notice that one person parked his motorcycle there and when he came back, he saw that one unknown person was trying to load his motorcycle on a Rikshaw. He was apprehended by the police party and the motorcycle bearing No. DL-4SCA-0294 (Bajaj Pulsar) was recovered from his possession. Hence a case FIR No.372/13 U/S 379/41 IPC was registered at police station and the investigation of the case was taken up by HC Sanjay No. 2104/W.

 ONE ARRESTED FOR SELLING GOVERNMENT LAND AND OTHER PRIME PROPERTY ON FAKE DOCUMENTS!

The Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Delhi Police has arrested a cheat Pawan Solanki (38 yrs) s/o Sh. Chander Bhan Solanki r/o B-187, Sec. 50, NOIDA, UP for duping a businessman on the pretext of selling him prime properties in the area of Jorbagh and Mayfair Garden on the basis of forged/fake Agreements to Sell/Sale deeds.

The complainant Sh. Ajay Chaudhary r/o Vasant Kunj, New Delhi had reported that the accused Pawan Solanki alongwith other co-accused persons had entered into an Agreement to Sell with him in respect of properties in the area of Jorbagh and Mayfair Garden for a consideration of Rs. 20 Crores. He was shown the documents having signatures and stamps of DDA officials and he paid the money believing these documents to be genuine.

On the complaint of Sh. Ajay Chaudhary a case FIR No. 34/12 u/s 420/467/468/471/120-B IPC P.S. EOW was registered and investigation taken up by Inspr. Ajay Kumar. The investigation revealed that the property in the area of Jorbagh was a Govt. land and in the possession of Ministry of Civil Aviation. In the absence of any construction on the site, complainant fell into trap of the accused, believing the forged documents to be genuine.

In respect of the second property at Mayfair Garden, the DDA had cancelled the allotment to the first owner and allotted in the name of second buyer. However, the accused fabricated documents and projected as if the property was restored to the first allottee and got the sale deeds executed in favour of the complainant. Investigation revealed that all the documents related to the restoration of the property were forged. During police custody remand, the accused Pawan Solanki disclosed the name of his accomplices and raids are being conducted to nab other accused persons. The accused has now been remanded to judicial custody.

 Gang of highly desperate, notorious and most wanted sensational robbers busted by Crime Branch.

 Nitin @ Balli and Rahul @ Sunny arrested near ISBT, Kashmiri Gate after exchange of fire.

 Another robber Akshay, who had fled from the spot later arrested from Vaishali Metro Station.

 More than 100 sensational robberies and snatchings of Delhi and NCR region including NOIDA solved.  More than 15 Bajaj Pulsar m/cycles stolen.

 2 sophisticated pistols of .32 bore, 4 live cartridges, 2 fired cartridges and a stolen Pulsar m/cycle recovered.

 The robbers had created a sensation in Delhi & NCR by committing a series of sensational gun shot robberies and snatchings during last one year.

 Spend the money on lavish life-style.

INTERROGATION:-

The Crime Branch has busted a gang of desperate robbers and arrested Nitin and Rahul @ Sunny from the road opposite Monastery near ISBT, Kashmiri Gate, after an exchange of fire. Another robber Akshay who fled away from the spot was also apprehended from Vaishali Metro Station, Ghaziabad after a scuffle with the team of Crime Branch. 2 sophisticated pistols of .32 bore, 4 live cartridges, 2 fired cartridges and a stolen Pulsar m/cycle have been recovered from the accused persons. The accused had created sensation and havoc in Delhi and NCR region. They have committed more than 100 sensational robberies and snatchings and are so desperate that they never hesitate to fire on the victims, in case the victim(s) dare to resist. The name and address of the arrested accused persons are as under:

1. Nitin @ Balli s/o Ram Karan Singh r/o H. No. 2, Sultan Garden, PS Baba Haridass Nagar, Najafgarh, Delhi.

2. Akshay @ Tinku s/o Shri Kishan Lal Kohli r/o H. No. JJ-8, Rajeev Gandhi Camp, Mangal Puri, New Delhi.

3. Rahul @ Sunny s/o Raju r/o Khijrauli, Jaipur, Rajasthan and Vagabond of Dwarka and RK Puram areas in Delhi.

TEAM:-

During the past few months, a series of sensational robberies and snatchings on gun point were reported to have been committed by Pulsar m/cycle borne criminals which created panic in areas of South-West and South Delhi. During investigation, the criminals were identified as desperate robbers Nitin and Akshay. Several teams of Delhi Police, including from Crime Branch, were constituted to nab these criminals. A team of 25 officers of Anti Extortion Cell, Crime Branch led by Insps Yashpal Singh and Sandeep Malhotra, comprising of SIs Naresh Sangwan, Vinay Kr. Tyagi, Rajbir Singh, Pramod Kumar, HCs Kuldeep, Yashpal, Sanjeev Kumar, Mahabir, Sanjay Tyagi, Manoj Kumar, Ravindra, Jugnu Tyagi, Upender, Shiv Veer, Amit Kumar, Brahmpal, Neeraj Pandey, Pawan Kumar and Consts. Rajeev Sahrawat, Vipin Kumar, Praveen, Ajeet, Naresh was constituted under the close supervision of Hoshiyar Singh, ACP/Anti Extortion Cell and overall guidance of Bhisham Singh, Addl. DCP/Crime to track the movement of the notorious robbers Nitin & Akshay.

TRAP & OPERATION:-

The painstaking field work assisted by diligent technical inputs over a period of 4 months yielded results. On 21.07.2013, a secret input was received by HC Kuldeep Singh that the desperate robbers Nitin & Akshay alongwith their one associate, would come near ISBT, Kashmiri Gate around 6-8 pm to arrange sophisticated weapons for their gang and thereafter, they would proceed to commit street robberies in the adjoining areas. This information was further developed and a trap was laid by the team of Crime Branch near the expected place of their arrival.

In the evening, three persons came on the road opposite the Buddhist Monastery, ISBT, Kashmiri Gate who were later identified as Nitin, Akshay and Rahul @ Sunny. The Crime Branch team cordoned the criminals and directed them to surrender. But the criminals Nitin & Akshay whipped out their sophisticated pistols and fired 4 rounds towards Crime Branch team. The Crime Branch officers also fired 3 rounds in retaliation and self defence.

In the meantime, one criminal Nitin managed to flee from the spot while the other two criminals Akshay and Rahul @ Sunny were successfully apprehended by our team. A case is registered vide FIR No. 125/13 dated 21.07.2013 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act PS Crime Branch.

INTERROGATION & THIRD ARREST:-

The arrested accused were subjected to sustained interrogation. On the disclosure and information provided by them, the third robber Akshay was also apprehended later from the Vaishali Metro Station, Ghaziabad after he resisted and a scuffled with the Crime Branch team. One stolen Bajaj Pulsar m/cycle was recovered from his possession.

PROFILES :- 1. AKSHAY:-

Akshay Kumar was born in a lower middle class family of Rajiv Gandhi Camp, Mangla Puri, Delhi. His father was a “Hotel Guide” in Paharganj. His has four brothers, who are drivers by profession.

Accused Akshay started his criminal career at the age of 15 years when he indulged in snatching. He became a drug addict. He was later arrested by police of PS Palam Village and Malviya Nagar in 6 cases of snatchings and thefts which occurred during the years 2010 and 2011. On 16.03.2012, he came out of jail and started committing robberies and snatchings on Pulsar m/cycles with his associates Nitin and Rohit in different areas of Delhi and NCR region.

2. NITIN:-

The second accused Nitin s/o Ram Karan was born in village Bhoda Kalan, Gurgaon. His father was in Indian Army. After retirement, his father shifted to Palam, Delhi with his family. In Delhi, his mother had worked as a Home Guard. In the year 2004, his family shifted to Sultan Garden, Najafgarh, Delhi. Accused Nitin had studied in Govt. School, Palam, where his associate Akshay was his junior. Nitin started indulging in petty crimes such as stealing iron rods from under construction flyover of Palam, Delhi. After this, he gradually got involved in 12 criminal cases of house thefts, snatchings, Arms Act, Attempt to Murder etc of different police stations of South West District, Delhi. He again came in contact with his school time friend Akshay and started house thefts, robberies and snatchings in different areas of Delhi & NCR region, alongwith their third associate Rohit @ Deepak r/o Aggarwal Colony, Najafgarh.

3. RAHUL:-

The third accused Rahul @ Sunny, aged 22 years, has recently joined this gang to earn easy money. He is a vagabond of RK Puram and Dwarka areas. Earlier, he was booked by Haryana Police in a house theft case in Mewat. His father has expired and his mother is residing near Sheetla Mata Mandir, Gurgaon and she is working as a house maid in locality. MODUS OPERANDI:-

This gang uses high speed Pulsar m/cycles during commission of crime. They used to steal such bikes from the busy residential colonies of Uttam Nagar and Mahipalpur area and after using the bike for 10-15 days, they used to abandon it. The accused have confessed regarding their involvement in theft of more than 15 Pulsar motorcycles during the last one year.

The accused Nitin is an expert in zigzag driving of Pulsar m/cycle at high speed while the accused persons Akshay and Rohit used to sit with loaded weapons on rear seats while committing snatchings and robberies. They usually target the women during morning walks, to snatch their gold chains. If any of the victim or passerby dares to resist them, never hesitate to fire upon them.

SENSATIONAL CRIMES:-

On 11.04.2013, the accused persons had created panic and sensation in Dwarka, Palam, Saket and other areas of Southwest and South District by committing 19 consecutive snatchings and gunshot robberies in the residential areas, within a period of 3 hours only.

On 11.04.2013, the accused persons robbed gold chain, earrings, gold bangles and a blackberry mobile phone from a married couple on gun point, during morning walk at Traffic red light of Sector-6/7, Dwarka. A case vide FIR No. 99/13 dated 11.04.2013 u/s 392/397/34 IPC PS Dwarka South is registered in this regard.

After committing the above crimes on the same day on 11.04.2013, the accused persons robbed gold chain and ear rings from Smt. Kalyani r/o Bengali Colony, Mahavir Enclave, Delhi near Palam Flyover, Dwarka at gun point. When the scared lady shouted for help, some persons from a bus came down to help her. On this, the accused persons fired at them and fled away from the spot on Pulsar motorcycle. One person got severe bullet injuries on his back and had to be rushed to hospital. A case vide FIR No. 100/13 dated 11.04.2013 u/s 394/397/307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act is registered at PS Dwarka South in this regard.

Apart from this, total 24 cases registered at different police stations of Delhi and Ghaziabad have been traced so far regarding the robberies and snatchings conducted by this gang.

LIFESTYLE:- Both the accused persons were living a lavish lifestyle and used to wear expensive/branded clothes and shoes. Major part of their earnings was spent on procuring drugs and to live a high lavish life.

Concerned police stations of Delhi, Ghaziabad, NOIDA and Gurgaon have been intimated regarding arrest of these accused persons. Efforts are being made to effect the recovery of looted jewelry and articles as well as source of illegal weapons.

FAKE INDIAN CURRENCY NOTES RACKET BUSTED BY POLICE STATION SULTANPURI

HIGHLIGHTS:-

 Three accused person namely Prince @ Sansar @ Naveen, Praveen and Mohd. Mohasin arrested by the staff of PS Sultan Puri.

 Total fake currency notes of Rs. 7,750 (Denomination of 50x 47= 2350, 100 x54 =5400.  Two Scanner/Printer Coloured Ink Jet make Cannon.  Semi printed fake Indian Currency Notes and Stationery.  Coloured pens, pencils, cutter, scissor etc.

BRIEF FACTS With the arrest of three accused persons namely Prince @ Sansar @ Naveen (age 20 years) S/o Budh Pal Singh R/o Near Sharmaji Office, Budh Vihar Phase-1,Delhi, Praveen (age 21 years) S/o Daya Nath R/o A-2/458,Sultan Puri,Delhi and Mohd. Mohasin (age 19 years) S/o Mohd. Tahir R/o A-4/233,Sultan Puri, Delhi, staff of Police Station Sultanpuri, Outer District, has busted a racket of fake Indian Currency notes.

INCIDENT/INVESTIGATION:-

On 21.7.2013 at about 11.30 AM, beat HC Lalit Kumar No 395/OD, Ct Inderaj No 1130/OD and Ct Raj Pal No 698/OD were on patrolling in their beat area, when they reached near the office of Rathi Properties at Kanjhawla Road, Delhi, a secret information was received by HC Lalit Kumar regarding three boys who are carrying fake currency Notes and they will come in the market area of Krishan Vihar at about 12.30 PM. On this HC Lalit Kumar constituted a raiding party comprising of Ct Raj Pal, Ct Inderaj and one public person and set the trap near to Ganda Nala, Fruit Market, Kanjhawla Road, Krishan Vihar, Delhi and at about 1.00 PM at the instance of informer three persons namely 1). Prince @ Sansar @ Naveen S/o Budh Pal Singh R/o Near Sharmaji Office, Budh Vihar Phase-1,Delhi 2). Praveen S/o Daya Nath R/o A-2/458,Sultan Puri,Delhi and 3). Mohd. Mohasin S/o Mohd. Tahir R/o A-4/233,Sultan Puri were apprehended. From their formal search fake Currency Notes worth Rs 7,750/- (Denomination of 50x 47= 2350, 100 x54 =5400) were recovered. A case vide FIR No 436/13 dated 21.7.2013 u/s 489-A/489-B/489-C/34 IPC was registered at police station Sultanpuri, Delhi and investigation of the case was entrusted to SI Mahender Pratap. Subsequently all the three persons were arrested in this case.

During investigation it has come to notice that the accused persons had set up a small unit for duplicating/scanning the Indian Currency Notes at H.No C-45, Inder Enclave, Aman Vihar, Delhi. At the instance of all the three accused persons one Scanner/Printer, Semi Printed Notes, Stationary has been recovered.

Further, on the instance of accused Mohsin a raid was conducted at his house and one Scanner/Printer was also recovered from there.

MODUS OPERANDI : Accused Prince is having computer knowledge and with the help of coloured Ink Jet Printer and Scanner used to make the fake Indian currency notes and uses the same in open market with the help his associates.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

1. Prince @ Sansar @ Naveen S/o Budh Pal Singh R/o Near Sharmaji Office, Budh Vihar Phase-1,Delhi has studied upto 10th class in Govt Boy Sr. Sec School at C-Block Sultanpuri, Delhi. He has only one younger sister who is studying in 10th class. His father is private vehicle driver. He has done basic course of computer education and advance course of mobile repairing. There is no previous criminal involvement.

2. Praveen S/o Daya Nath R/o A-2/458,Sultan Puri,Delhi has studied upto 10th class in Govt Boy Sr. Sec School at C-Block Sultanpuri, Delhi. Presently working as A/C operator in Paschim Vihar, Delhi.  Gang of highly desperate, notorious and most wanted sensational robbers busted by Crime Branch.  Nitin @ Balli and Rahul @ Sunny arrested near ISBT, Kashmiri Gate after exchange of fire.  Another robber Akshay, who had fled from the spot later arrested from Vaishali Metro Station.  More than 100 sensational robberies and snatchings of Delhi and NCR region including NOIDA solved.  More than 15 Bajaj Pulsar m/cycles stolen.  2 sophisticated pistols of .32 bore, 4 live cartridges, 2 fired cartridges and a stolen Pulsar m/cycle recovered.  The robbers had created a sensation in Delhi & NCR by committing a series of sensational gun shot robberies and snatchings during last one year.  Spend the money on lavish life-style.

INTERROGATION:-

The Crime Branch has busted a gang of desperate robbers and arrested Nitin and Rahul @ Sunny from the road opposite Monastery near ISBT, Kashmiri Gate, after an exchange of fire. Another robber Akshay who fled away from the spot was also apprehended from Vaishali Metro Station, Ghaziabad after a scuffle with the team of Crime Branch. 2 sophisticated pistols of .32 bore, 4 live cartridges, 2 fired cartridges and a stolen Pulsar m/cycle have been recovered from the accused persons. The accused had created sensation and havoc in Delhi and NCR region. They have committed more than 100 sensational robberies and snatchings and are so desperate that they never hesitate to fire on the victims, in case the victim(s) dare to resist. The name and address of the arrested accused persons are as under:

No. JJ-8, Rajeev Gandhi Camp, Mangal Puri, New Delhi. 3. Rahul @ Sunny s/o Raju r/o Khijrauli, Jaipur, Rajasthan and Vagabond of Dwarka and RK Puram areas in Delhi.

TEAM:-

During the past few months, a series of sensational robberies and snatchings on gun point were reported to have been committed by Pulsar m/cycle borne criminals which created panic in areas of South-West and South Delhi. During investigation, the criminals were identified as desperate robbers Nitin and Akshay. Several teams of Delhi Police, including from Crime Branch, were constituted to nab these criminals.

A team of 25 officers of Anti Extortion Cell, Crime Branch led by Insps Yashpal Singh and Sandeep Malhotra, comprising of SIs Naresh Sangwan, Vinay Kr. Tyagi, Rajbir Singh, Pramod Kumar, HCs Kuldeep, Yashpal, Sanjeev Kumar, Mahabir, Sanjay Tyagi, Manoj Kumar, Ravindra, Jugnu Tyagi, Upender, Shiv Veer, Amit Kumar, Brahmpal, Neeraj Pandey, Pawan Kumar and Consts. Rajeev Sahrawat, Vipin Kumar, Praveen, Ajeet, Naresh was constituted under the close supervision of Hoshiyar Singh, ACP/Anti Extortion Cell and overall guidance of Bhisham Singh, Addl. DCP/Crime to track the movement of the notorious robbers Nitin & Akshay.

TRAP & OPERATION:-

The painstaking field work assisted by diligent technical inputs over a period of 4 months yielded results. On 21.07.2013, a secret input was received by HC Kuldeep Singh that the desperate robbers Nitin & Akshay alongwith their one associate, would come near ISBT, Kashmiri Gate around 6-8 pm to arrange sophisticated weapons for their gang and thereafter, they would proceed to commit street robberies in the adjoining areas. This information was further developed and a trap was laid by the team of Crime Branch near the expected place of their arrival.

In the evening, three persons came on the road opposite the Buddhist Monastery, ISBT, Kashmiri Gate who were later identified as Nitin, Akshay and Rahul @ Sunny. The Crime Branch team cordoned the criminals and directed them to surrender. But the criminals Nitin & Akshay whipped out their sophisticated pistols and fired 4 rounds towards Crime Branch team. The Crime Branch officers also fired 3 rounds in retaliation and self defence.

In the meantime, one criminal Nitin managed to flee from the spot while the other two criminals Akshay and Rahul @ Sunny were successfully apprehended by our team. A case is registered vide FIR No. 125/13 dated 21.07.2013 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act PS Crime Branch.

INTERROGATION & THIRD ARREST:-

The arrested accused were subjected to sustained interrogation. On the disclosure and information provided by them, the third robber Nitin was also apprehended later from the Vaishali Metro Station, Ghaziabad after he resisted and a scuffled with the Crime Branch team. One stolen Bajaj Pulsar m/cycle was recovered from his possession.

PROFILES :-

1. AKSHAY:-

Akshay Kumar was born in a lower middle class family of Rajiv Gandhi Camp, Mangla Puri, Delhi. His father was a “Hotel Guide” in Paharganj. His has four brothers, who are drivers by profession.

Accused Akshay started his criminal career at the age of 15 years when he indulged in snatching. He became a drug addict. He was later arrested by police of PS Palam Village and Malviya Nagar in 6 cases of snatchings and thefts which occurred during the years 2010 and 2011. On 16.03.2012, he came out of jail and started committing robberies and snatchings on Pulsar m/cycles with his associates Nitin and Rohit in different areas of Delhi and NCR region.

2. NITIN:-

The second accused Nitin s/o Ram Karan was born in village Bhoda Kalan, Gurgaon. His father was in Indian Army. After retirement, his father shifted to Palam, Delhi with his family. In Delhi, his mother had worked as a Home Guard. In the year 2004, his family shifted to Sultan Garden, Najafgarh, Delhi.

Accused Nitin had studied in Govt. School, Palam, where his associate Akshay was his junior. Nitin started indulging in petty crimes such as stealing iron rods from under construction flyover of Palam, Delhi. After this, he gradually got involved in 12 criminal cases of house thefts, snatchings, Arms Act, Attempt to Murder etc of different police stations of South West District, Delhi. He again came in contact with his school time friend Akshay and started house thefts, robberies and snatchings in different areas of Delhi & NCR region, alongwith their third associate Rohit @ Deepak r/o Aggarwal Colony, Najafgarh.

3. RAHUL:-

The third accused Rahul @ Sunny, aged 22 years, has recently joined this gang to earn easy money. He is a vagabond of RK Puram and Dwarka areas. Earlier, he was booked by Haryana Police in a house theft case in Mewat. His father has expired and his mother is residing near Sheetla Mata Mandir, Gurgaon and she is working as a house maid in locality.

MODUS OPERANDI:-

This gang uses high speed Pulsar m/cycles during commission of crime. They used to steal such bikes from the busy residential colonies of Uttam Nagar and Mahipalpur area and after using the bike for 10-15 days, they used to abandon it. The accused have confessed regarding their involvement in theft of more than 15 Pulsar motorcycles during the last one year.

The accused Nitin is an expert in zigzag driving of Pulsar m/cycle at high speed while the accused persons Akshay and Rohit used to sit with loaded weapons on rear seats while committing snatchings and robberies. They usually target the women during morning walks, to snatch their gold chains. If any of the victim or passerby dares to resist them, never hesitate to fire upon them.

SENSATIONAL CRIMES:-

On 11.04.2013, the accused persons had created panic and sensation in Dwarka, Palam, Saket and other areas of Southwest and South District by committing 19 consecutive snatchings and gunshot robberies in the residential areas, within a period of 3 hours only. On 11.04.2013, the accused persons robbed gold chain, earrings, gold bangles and a blackberry mobile phone from a married couple on gun point, during morning walk at Traffic red light of Sector-6/7, Dwarka. A case vide FIR No. 99/13 dated 11.04.2013 u/s 392/397/34 IPC PS Dwarka South is registered in this regard.

After committing the above crimes on the same day on 11.04.2013, the accused persons robbed gold chain and ear rings from Smt. Kalyani r/o Bengali Colony, Mahavir Enclave, Delhi near Palam Flyover, Dwarka at gun point. When the scared lady shouted for help, some persons from a bus came down to help her. On this, the accused persons fired at them and fled away from the spot on Pulsar motorcycle. One person got severe bullet injuries on his back and had to be rushed to hospital. A case vide FIR No. 100/13 dated 11.04.2013 u/s 394/397/307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act is registered at PS Dwarka South in this regard.

Apart from this, total 24 cases registered at different police stations of Delhi and Ghaziabad have been traced so far regarding the robberies and snatchings conducted by this gang.

LIFESTYLE:-

Both the accused persons were living a lavish lifestyle and used to wear expensive/branded clothes and shoes. Major part of their earnings was spent on procuring drugs and to live a high lavish life.

Concerned police stations of Delhi, Ghaziabad, NOIDA and Gurgaon have been intimated regarding arrest of these accused persons. Efforts are being made to effect the recovery of looted jewelry and articles as well as source of illegal weapons.

Case property worth RS 35 lacs recovered from a lover

turned extortionist by P.S. Model Town

INCIDENT:

One Ramakant Aggrawal reported that some person extorted Gold and Diamond ornaments worth Rs 35 Lac from her daughter in their absence, 7-8 days before, which were kept in Almirah by complainant. Accordingly a case FIR No. 199/2013 dt. 20-7-13 u/s 384 IPC was registered in P.S. Model Town.

INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION:

A team was constituted under the leadership of Ms Shweta Chauhan IPS, ACP sub division Model Town consisting Insp Jagminder Singh Dahiya, Constable Anil Kumar And Constable Amarjeet of P.S. Model Town. During the course of investigation accused Mahesh Bhardwaj @ Rishi S/o D K Bhardwaj R/o 58 Desu Colony was apprehended and after sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he wanted to purchase a BMW car and extorted Rs 35000/- cash, 2 diamond set (worth Rs 20 Lacs), 3 gold chain, one gold pendent, one gold mangal sutar, one gold ginni, two gold bajuband, one silver chhlah (wt. 200gm) and one gold and diamond necklace were recovered as per his discloser statement from house no. 145 in front of his residence. He was looking for a receiver of stolen property but could not find one and was arrested before he could dispose off the case property worth Rs 35 lac. Total 100% case property recovered by above team within 24 hours. The investigation is in progress.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED:

Mahesh Bhardwaj @ Rishi S/o D K Bhardwaj R/o 58 Desu Colony is 28 years old and is a graduate.To earn easy and fast money he made friendship with the girl and after that blackmailed her and extorted money from her.

RECOVERY Rs 22000/- cash, 2 diamond set (worth Rs 20 Lacs), 3 gold chain, one gold pendent, one gold mangal sutar, one gold ginni, two gold bajuband, one silver chhlah (wt. 200gm) and one gold and diamond necklace.
