SLCUSD SAFETY MEETING

1. Called to Order – 2:00 P.M.

Review and approve minutes from March 31st meeting.
2. Review Accident Reports
Committee discussed and reviewed injuries for the month of April. 25 student injuries 3 employee injuries – one back injury with one lost workday, one fall with two lost workdays, and one repetitive motion injury with no lost time.
Committee discussed using the Employee Accident Log in the spreadsheet format as a more concise means to review all reported injuries and not just workman’s comp claims.
3. General Safety Reports/Discussions
Installed document holder for Fiscal Services Installed monitor arm in IS&T Installed lifting table in Adult School Office Installed ergonomic workstation in Fiscal Services Installed keyboard trays in IS&T Provided ergonomic chair for Transportation Dispatcher Installed keyboard tray in Adult School Office
Committee discussed the recently published safety newsletter distributed to all employees. We also discussed publishing three newsletters a year in conjunction with SIPE. Committee discussed the Good Housekeeping Contest and extended the deadline for site selections until May 3rd. A grand prize winner will be selected at the May 26th Safety Committee meeting. 4.
