Welcome To Intermediate and Advanced Art The first semester emphasizes drawing, design and painting. The second semester emphasizes printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media. Certain areas of the content may be emphasized more than others to meet the student’s needs.

Supplies The Schindewolf Art Activity Fee for 2009-2010 is $35.00. Please try to have this fee paid by the third week of school. To pay with a check, please make it payable to Schindewolf Intermediate School. If you choose to pay with cash please place payment in an envelope with the student's name and teacher’s name on the front. Art supplies are provided in the classroom for assignments. Each student will receive a pencil, pen, folder, and drawing journal to keep in the classroom.

Textbooks A class set of state adopted texts will be used in the classroom only.

Student and Parent Expectations  Students are expected to be prepared for class. o When the Art Activity fee is paid, students will receive a pencil and pen to store in the classroom if the pen or pencil should leave; the student is responsible for the replacement of items.  Students are expected to be responsible. o Assignments should be turned in on time and make-up work picked up and completed in a timely manner. A grade of 50 will be earned for any work that is not made up in a timely manner.  Students are expected to be respectful. o Students should respect the classroom and everyone in it, so that everyone can enjoy their learning experience.

Parents are asked to contact the teacher by phone or email if they have a concern about their child’s progress. Late Work All assigned work must be turned in complete and on time to avoid a penalty in grade. Daily Work : Major assignments: 1st day late – 25 points deduction 10 point deduction for each day late 2nd day late – 50 point deduction grade of 50 on 4th day late and after

Extra Credit Extra credit will be given as an extra assignment that students may complete outside of class. Extra credit assignments will be posted on the teacher website along with the due date. The assignment may add up to 10 bonus points to a major grade.
