Double-Sided Journal Template

When reading, it helps to comment on specific parts of a story. To keep your thoughts organized, you can write a double-sided journal (DSJ). These will help you participate in class discussions and find ideas that spark your thoughts.

The left side must contain 10 quotations from the reading with page numbers noted. You can paraphrase longer passages, such as an entire paragraph.

The right side must comment on each of these points. Keep in mind the “Think Aloud” prompts while you write:
