Communion Sunday Collection On April 12 we will collect grocery items to donate to an area food bank. The lack of food continues to be a serious problem for many of our Rhode Island neighbors. CBC Forum: Spring into Nonviolent Action April brings not only new life, budding trees and warmth of sun....it also brings to CBC the opportunity to learn about the practice of Nonviolence. Rev. Sharon Key will lead worship for three Sundays in April and conduct a special forum on April 12 and 26 from 11-Noon. Sharon is a certified Level II Trainer in the philosophy and strategies of Nonviolence as developed by Martin Luther King, Jr. through The Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies at The University of Rhode Island. She has trained in churches, police departments, prisons and in Israel and Palestine. In our brief time together, she will share how:

 To identify and analyze different forms of conflict  To gain the skills necessary to reconcile conflicts without resorting to violence whether it be physical, emotional or verbal  The Six Principles and Six Steps of Nonviolence as taught and practiced by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The Practice of Nonviolence can build a stronger sense of cooperation and community All are welcome to this special opportunity sponsored by the Christian Education Committee

Stewardship Campaign Update The Stewardship campaign officially concluded on March 22. However we have received only 50% of our goal of 70 pledges. We have received $48,174 in pledges toward our goal of $100,000. Within the next several weeks the Trustees will formulate the budget for the church's next fiscal year beginning May1. The Pastoral Search Committee will use this promised income to determine a financial package to offer our next permanent minister. If you are considering making a financial pledge you can mail your pledge to the church at P.O. Box 295 in Jamestown. You can call or email your pledge to Deb Nordstrom, [email protected] 423-0367 or Lynda King, [email protected], 560-0306. With Thanks, Deb & Lynda.
