Currently Approved Nonindustrial Woodwaste Burning Sites

Below is a list of the sites currently approved for open outdoor fires to dispose of nonindustrial wood waste at designated disposal sites on permissive burn days. Permits for a burn must be obtained from the local district and the local fire protection agency having jurisdiction.

Willow Ranch Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31

North Coast AQMD Carlotta Burn Allowed when wind is > 5 mph

Orrick Burn Allowed when wind is > 5 mph

Crescent City Burn Allowed when wind is < 20 mph

Northern Sierra AQMD Allegahany Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31.

Calpine Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31.

Chester 2 burns 11/1 - 4/15

Loyalton Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31.

Portola Burn allowed 1/1-6/30 & 11/1-12/31. Winds from west or south. Record complaints. Burn <20 tons. Expire 3/4/00.

Ramshorn Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31. Sierra City Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31.

Placer Al Tahoe Sanitary Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31 Landfill

Foresthill Two burns max. allowed 11/1 - 4/30. Only allowed when frontal system is moving through.

Shasta Fall River Mills Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31 Transfer Station

Round Mountain Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31

Shingletown Burn Allowed 12/1 - 5/31 Transfer Station
