10th Constable Run Sunday 10th September 2017.

Entry List Closes. 31st August 2017 REGULATIONS ANNOUNCEMENT: The Sunbeam Motor Cycle Club Ltd. will organise the Constable Run. Starting and finishing at Corn Craft Tea Rooms, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk IP7 7AY On SUNDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2017 And will be open to any persons, whether club member or not, entering a Veteran, (pre 1915) Vintage (pre 1931) and Post Vintage (pre 1940) motorcycle, sidecar, tricycle or three wheeler of any make. All machines must be manufactured prior to 31st December 1939. All machines must comply with all legal requirements. The event will consist of a Road Safety Rally and there will be a route of 52 miles (morning/afternoon) and a lunch stop at the finish. The event will be held under these regulations and any Final Instructions which may be issued.

ENTRIES: These will be accepted only if submitted on the official entry form accompanied by the appropriate entry fees. Entry fee is £10 for Sunbeam members, and £13 for non members. The extra is, to provide one day membership and ACU insurance cover. The cost per passenger is £2.50. Entries must reach the Secretary of the Meeting no later than 31st August 2017 Entry fees will only be refunded if the event is cancelled.

INSTRUCTIONS: Entrants are required to assemble as directed before 10.00am and proceed immediately to the signing on point whereupon they will be supplied with the following:  An entrant’s number which must be attached prominently on the front of their machine  A route sheet  Any lunch vouchers where appropriate

The first entrant will leave at 11.00am.

DECLARATION & UNDERTAKING.  I/we the undersigned apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof:-  I/We hereby declare that I/We have had the opportunity to read, and that I/We understand the national Sporting Code of the ACU, the ACU Standing Regulations, such Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event, and agree to be bound by them.(This can be accessed at, [email protected] )  I/We further declare that I am/We are physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and I am/We are competent to do so.  I/We confirm that I/We understand the nature and type of event we are entering and it’s inherent risks and agree to accept the same notwithstanding that such risks may involve negligence on the part of the organisers or officials.  I/We confirm that the machine(s) as described above which I/We enter on shall be suitable and proper for the purpose.  I/We confirm that if any part of the event takes place on a public highway, the machine(s) described above shall be insured as required by the Road Traffic Acts, or equivalent legislation, and that it/they will comply with the regulations in respect thereof,  I/We agree that I am/We are required to register our arrival by ‘Signing On’ at the designated place not less than 30 minutes prior to commencement of the event.  I/We further declare that we understand that I/We are required to ‘Sign Off’ as soon as possible on our return to the paddock. Acknowledgement of the risks of motorcycling: I/We understand that by taking part in this event I/We are exposed to a risk of death, becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I/We acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the part of the ACU, the promoter, the organising club, the venue owner, or an individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a contributory cause of any serious injury I/We may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my/our voluntary decision to take part in a high risk activity. I/We accept that insurance arranged on my/our behalf by organisers of events that I/we enter specifically excludes liability between the participants. I/we understand that this form maybe used in litigation as evidence that any serious injury will be principally the result of my/our voluntary decision to engage in a risk activity. I/we acknowledge that my/our participation is entirely at my/our risk. I/we acknowledge if I am not an annual member of the Sunbeam M.C.C. Ltd. I shall become an associate one day only member of the club in order to secure personal accident insurance under the ACU permit for this event. The premium for this insurance is included within the non member entry fee.
