Job Title: Plumber

Grade: Upkeep Level 4

Salary: £25,439.44 Per Annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Duration: Initial 3 Month Temporary Post

Holidays: 20 days annual leave/10 public holidays pro rata

Location: 16 Culrain Street, Shettleston

Reporting to: Operations Manager

General Description

The Plumber will be part of Upkeep’s expanding void property and housing maintenance team, which delivers a multi-trade service to Upkeep’s parent company, Shettleston Housing Association and other external clients.

The Plumber will deliver plumbing and heating system maintenance services primarily to void properties, but also to tenanted homes as required.

The plumber will answer directly to the Upkeep Contracts Managers.

1 Duties and Responsibilities:

The Plumber will:

1. Deliver a plumbing maintenance service in connection with the Upkeep void property and housing maintenance service and elsewhere as required.

2. Provide a reactive maintenance service in domestic properties and commercial premises with regard to plumbing works.

3. Carry out agreed performance monitoring procedures and quality control.

4. Be conversant with current Health and Safety at Work Legislation and ensure that all plumbing and heating system maintenance activities comply with the legislation.

5. Assist in the carrying out of Risk Assessments

6. Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post and in line with the needs of Upkeep.

QUALIFICATIONS Time Served plumber/heating CSCS card engineer SNVQ3 Gas Safe Registered SNIJIB registered Valid ACS modules CCN1,CEN1, CPA1

Willingness to undertake appropriate training

EXPERIENCE Experience of working in a multi- Experience of supervising trade environment apprentices
