Chuck’s hotel room. The party breaks up, but notice who is not doing the talking. And, then we see the buffet. Notice the food that is ironic. ______

Kelly’s house; Chuck and Kelly talk. She hasn’t gotten her doctorate. Chuck gives Kelly back her watch, but keeps the picture Kelly has crash information covering her dining room table. “ 500 miles south of the Cook Islands.”

Kelly’s garage . She has kept their car and the same keychain. They say good-bye and Chuck drives away. Kelly runs after him the car stops and they embrace. The car. Kelly gets in the car. Long pause, Chuck says, “You have to go home.”

Stan’s house Chuck tells Stan about his lowest point when he thought about suicide. It was the only thing he thought he could control, but realized even that was out of his control, “ I had power over nothing.” So, he decided he had to keep going, “ I just had to keep breathing.” Chuck is so sad that he doesn’t have Kelly but he says he is so grateful she was with him on that island. “And I know what I have to do now, I have to keep breathing because tomorrow the sun will rise and who knows what the tide will bring in.” 4. Texas crossroad and the Peterson Ranch. Chuck drives through the same crossroads shown at the beginning of the movie. “Return to Sender” by Elvis is playing. He drives to the Peterson’s ranch. Dick’s name is off the ranch entrance sign. Chuck is trying to deliver the package. No one is home. He writes, “This package saved my life,” and leaves the package. 5. The crossroad. Chuck pulls over at the crossroads to look at his map, A woman stops and points out directions. As she pulls away the wings emblem is on the back of her truck. Chuck stands at the crossroads looking /deciding which way to go.
