Penguin S Half Term Homework Grid

PENGUIN’S HALF TERM HOMEWORK GRID Dear Parent/Carer, Next half term your child will begin a new topic ‘There Be Dragons’; this explores dragons in stories and art across a range of cultures. The topic focuses on the legend of Beowulf, an Anglo-Saxon hero who bravely defeated a dragon in battle! The class will go on to explore other features of Anglo-Saxon life as our history and geography focus. In science your child will learn about the human body, skeletons and healthy eating. Maths will look at fractions, shape, Angles and degrees of turn, time, solving worded problems and division by 2 & 4. Towards the end of the half term, as Christmas fast approaches, we look at Christmas in Germany and how certain traditions were adopted from them such as the Christmas tree. This ties in nicely with learning German as our Modern Foreign Language and also links with Anglo-Saxons as they originated from what is now modern Germany

Dear Student, You can choose to do these activities in any order…when you have done one ask your parent to sign the box…have fun!!l These activities are not marked…but if you would like to bring them to school to show I would love to see them!
