1. Notes of the previous meeting held on 4th May 2016 were agreed.

2. Matters arising - Youth Engagement and Green & Play Spaces The SG were really pleased with Christine’s update that an event has been planned for Friday 3rd June from 13.00 – 15.00 for 11 – 20 year olds to engage with Hawkins/Brown and Grant Associates. Young peoples ideas had been taken up for having pizza, 3-D goggles and using the community centre on the estate. Charlotte Ashton is leading on this and the communications team will shortly be producing posters for the event, which will be backed up with staff canvassing interest.

- Hawkins/Brown Public Exhibition Khalil reported a successful meeting had taken place with the planning department and that Hawkins/Brown and the council should hopefully have a public exhibition organised for week beginning 20th June.

- Draft Newsletter Sajni confirmed in future the SG would be given at least one week to provide comments. Overall the SG were pleased with the content. Future newsletters to include articles on individual SG members (Varsha & Shamim volunteered), which may encourage further participation from the wider community. Draft newsletter to include more details in relation to disposing of goods when moving home, for example councils “removal of items” service, Freecycle and St Luke’s charity. Residents may consider organising a garage sale. Khalil will look into negotiating a better rate on the skip hire or think about the council providing skips themselves when a number of residents may have to clear a block. The council to look at more appropriate signage (images) for the use of the existing recycling bins. Fly tipping remains a big issue.

Bill agreed to be a case study on the challenges of moving, which may benefit other residents planning a move (for the next newsletter). “Dealing with ASB” article to include reference to the 101 number for non urgent ASB and the importance of reporting matters to build up evidence for greater Police resourcing. In relation to the “Apprentice case study”, Hanife would like support in securing a one week work experience placement for her son (Raj & Sajni to follow up).

- Website Cllr Glen Hearnden has now set up a domain name and basic website that needs content added. Raj to contact Glen about progressing the website development.

- Charter Khalil was pleased to report that all tenants of Grange Farm had now received a copy of the Charter and the next stage was to contact those residents who had been decanted.

- Health Impact Assessment (to be discussed at a future meeting).

3. Action / Fun Day - Noted the council are running the “Borough Summer Fair” on 9th July at the Civic. - Grange Farm SG will be organising its own event on 16th July (stated as 2nd July at meeting, but date changed because of Eid) to bring the local community together. Initial ideas – clean up in the morning, followed by lunch, face painting, bouncy castle, ice cream van, (previous suggestion from Ken - fire engine), banners and music. Funding options to be considered from the council, contractors, Waitrose, McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Sports Direct. Christine offered to contact “Clean for the Queen” team who could supply some of tidy up equipment. (- Varsha reported some abandoned vehicles / parking issues to Khalil.)

(Officers left the meeting)

4. SG Members on Developer Selection Panel - Bill explained that a simple selection process would be used in determining which SG members sit on the recruitment panel for the developer. So far the volunteers put forward are Shaz, Varsha and Bill, (Amita might find it difficult due to work commitments) and to be supported by One Enterprise Ltd. Anyone else interested to contact Raj before 1st June. - the five companies on the tender list are Countryside, Hill, Hyde/Mullaley, Keepmoat/Pinnacle and Rydon.
