Background: Outdoor Research is looking for input/comments/feedback from IMG’s guides relating to three disciplines: ice climbing, alpine climbing and climbing expeditions.

They’re hoping to develop some new layering pieces and refine some others for these disciplines in 2011. Please take a few minutes and fill out the word doc. and return to Tye via email: [email protected]

For reference I’ve included the names of the guide gear you’ve received in the past and what you’ll most likely be receiving this year.

What is your ideal layering kit for the disciplines listed below? If it’s an OR piece that’s great – but is it perfect? Does it need a couple tweaks? If it’s not an OR piece – what is it? Are there holes in OR’s line that you fill with other brands – if so, what piece of gear do you use to fill that void? Please be as specific as possible – keeping all upper and lower body layers in mind (specifically including gloves and gaiters).
