50 th Christmas at St. Peter’s, Frogwell. We would like to put a special emphasis on our Christmas Services this year to commemorate the 50th Christmas in our present building. Thank you to the few who have let us know their availability on the morning of Christmas Eve: info from even more is urgently needed to plan our 50th Reception. Please return the pink slip with the appropriate details to the ballot box or speak to Andrew. The services are detailed above. Chippenham Food Bank The Salvation Army has appealed for urgent gifts for their Christmas distributions. We were reluctant to make an urgent full appeal at this stage, but agreed with the Salvation Army to run an on-going collection point for our congregation. Hence there is a box in the Narthex to receive gifts of non-perishable food to donate to the Food Bank. Nothing that you would not eat yourself, please. At various times we will take any contents to the Salvation Army, where it will be much appreciated.

Men’s Walking Group The Christmas ramble will take place on Tuesday 19 th December. This time we will make a circular tour of Chippenham town, passing as many current and historical religious establishments as we can manage before lunching in an appropriate hostelry somewhere in town. Meet at St. Peter’s in the rear car park at 10am. Just turn up on the day, but if you need more details, contact David Turnbull on 01249 659925. New members very welcome.

Ride & Stride Peter Gubbins won the under-16 group of the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust fund raising sponsored walk/cycle by visiting the most churches. He has been presented with a T-shirt and token for his part in raising £313 from St. Peter’s (half for our church). Well done, Peter. Next year’s date is 8th Sept.

News from the Diocesan Ministry Team A secondment has been arranged for Lynne to work with Revd Sally Wheeler from 1st Jan – 31st March 2018. Lynne will be using the time till then to visit other churches and prepare for her secondment. We assure Lynne of our continuing prayers during this period, and as she widens her experience of ministry.

Next Year’s FWO Envelopes are available in Church. Any changes please see Ivan Hurcum 653400.

Kingfisher Messy Church The team would like to thank all who have contributed to our latest venture, by contributing or serving food, supervising craft activities and helping with the mammoth task of clearing up afterwards. This has so far been a fantastic way for the whole of St. Peter’s congregation to reach out to young families, and we look forward to continuing this in the New Year. Our next session is on Saturday 6 th January, and if you would like to get involved please speak to Jane, Sharon or Jackie. And, of course, your continued prayers are much appreciated – The Kingfishers Team.
