Mrs. Bonner’s Weekly Newsletter October 5, 2015 Hello Parents, This marks our first full week in October. Can you believe that our first nine weeks of school is coming to an end? This week will only be a four day week. Students will be out Friday the 9th for fall break and Monday the 12th for Columbus Day. As we wrap up our final days of the fist nine weeks, it is more important than ever to have your child at school. Please continue to work with your child on skills that they may be struggling with such as letter and letter sound identification, sight word recognition, and blending words. We have started working with numbers past ten. Students should be able to count groups up to 20, as well as identify all number to 20. Please review, sign, and return your child’s weekly signed papers. This is a great way for you to see your child’s progress and the skills we cover each week. Waynesboro Elementary School will be holding Parent Portal training on October 6th from 5:00-6:00. Parental Portal is an online site that you can visit to see your child’s grades. This training is for parents who do not already have an account. Those attending must have a valid email and id, which matches the information on file in the school office.
