Oceans 11 – Dalesandro Assignment 3 – Oceans in the News

Instructions: Work alone or with a partner. Use the internet to locate three news articles that have to do with the oceans.

-Use news articles that have to do with any topic related to the oceans.

-Print each article or give the article’s URL (web address) and then write a short response for each. Your response should be at least two paragraphs for each article:

 One summary paragraph (5 sentences – 3 pts.) and

 One opinion/reflection paragraph (5 sentences – 3 pts.)

Due Date: Your three articles and three responses are due one week from today (Thurs, Sept 28th).

Format: Your write-up should be typed. Be sure to include the following

information at the top of the first page:

 Your name and the name of your partner if you have one.  Title of activity (Assignment #3 – Oceans in the News).  Class (Oceans 11).

Value: 18 points.

Hints: Use websites such as:

1) Google News. 2) ScienceDaily.com 3) Bing search

to find your news articles. Do not use encyclopedia-type articles!
