November 2, 2015 - Day 2

Happy November! In honor of Veteran’s Day, all month long Log will be participating in a fundraiser to support Operation Ward 57. Stop by the school store to purchase t-shirts, bracelets and dog-tags to support our veterans. We will also be having a soft-pretzel sale after school on Thursday. Thank you for your support!

If you would like to purchase one of his books---ask your homeroom teacher for an order form.

If you purchase one of his books by November 11th, you will be entered into a drawing to attend the book signing.

GIRLS UNLIMITED ANNOUNCES AN AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB!!!!

7TH AND 8TH GRADE GIRLS!! If you enjoyed your Girls Unlimited experience, it doesn’t have to end! We will be restarting our after school club in mid-November on Tuesday afternoons for one hour. We had a great time in the club last year. What do we do in the GU Club? Anything YOU want! This club is FOR you and ABOUT you. We do crafts, have snacks, talk about important subjects, listen to music, make videos, joke around and generally use our power for the greater good of all of us! Sign up now!! Forms are available in the 1st and 2nd floor Main Offices.

Biblio-philes and others with vast literary appetites are invited to meet with the Reading Olympics team on Wednesday, after school. Please see Mrs. Catalano for questions or sign-ups. Any student who is not picked up in a car before 4:15 will be sent home on the late bus.

The Counseling department at Log College would like to extend an invitation to all 6th grade girls to participate in a six week topic-oriented group during lunch on Thursdays during 6th grade lunch. We would like to begin this lunch group on Thursday, November 5th in the Guidance Office conference room. Please stop by the Guidance Office to pick up a parent permission slip. There is still room, so return your parent permission slip quickly to the Guidance Office.

Picture retake day is this WEDNESDAY— be sure to get a form from the lower office if you need one.

This is a reminder to all Band, Chorus, and Orchestra students- don’t forget, tonight is the parent meeting for the mattress fundraiser. Don’t forget to bring your raffle slip for the prizes!! The meeting begins at 7:15pm here at Log College.

Wednesday, November 4, is Log College Spirit Night at the Warrington Chik-fil-A. Stop by and support our school from 4-8 PM. Log will earn 15% of all sales.

Yearbook will met TODAY in room 28. We’re picking our cover, so don’t be late!

Log’s book fair will be open online starting tomorrow…and classes will attend the book fair through reading and English classes. Pay attention to announcements from your English and reading teachers.
