“PHARMACEUTICO–ANALYTICAL STUDY OF PRAVALAGARBHA POTTALI” 6. BRIEF RESUME OF THE INTENDED WORK

6.1 NEED FOR THE STUDY

Pottali kalpana is an unexplored, innovative sector of Rasashastra, even though it has many advantages like least product wastage minimal drug requirement when compared to other Rasayogas, its manufacturing and applied research is very less in current era.

Research is to explore the unexplored part of the science. Drug research is expected to work in the rare pharmaceutical molecules. In classics there is reference about “ PRAVALA GARBHA POTTALI1” is a classical Pottali Rasayana containing Pravala Bhasma, Muktashukti Bhasma, Kapardika Bhasma, Shankha Bhasma, Godanti Bhasma, Shuddha Parada, Shuddha Gandhaka and Suvarna Tanutantu Khanda. Which is rare unique ,potent,, novel molecule with highly promising therapeutic application. To manufacture the PRAVALAGARBHA POTTALI as per the classics, the present pharmaceutical study is undertaken.

The current trend in the medical research encourages good manufacturing product and good clinical practice, which is based on drug analysis. The main aim of analytical study is to find out working standards for the formulations and safe use of therapeutics.2 Therefore the basic and effective analytical method to assess the Pharmaceutico- Analytical properties of the “PRAVALAGARBHA POTTALI” is the need of the hour.
