Designed tutoring modules for the Science Communications Resource Center to support graduate students in the hard sciences on a one-to-one basis, developing effective professional media communications skills.

Robert Legg, Producer/Director/Writer, “The Hokes Galleries”, 2016. 2-part documentary chronicling the creative works of Beauvais Lyons and his infamous Hokes galleries and the art of “pranking” as both entertainment and social commentary. Part one now finished and in final edit. Part two in production.

Significant re-edit of footage chronicling the historic 1959 visit of, then Soviet Premier, Nikita Khrushchev to the Garst family farm in the Iowa corn belt, the events that led up to the encounter and the legacy that remains . Was PI for a $300,000+ portion of a larger grant with the UT Institute of Nuclear Security on a proposal to the National Nuclear Security Administration, Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation, Office on Nonproliferation and International Security. 2013.
Helped prepare and present a proposal presentation to the UT Office of Research, seeking designation of ongoing work with the Science Communications Initiative as an Organized Research Unit, 2013.
Key Personnel in a National Science Foundation/Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship award grant. Ongoing, 2008-1012. Will design and lead yearly workshops with select Biology Ph.D. students to prepare them to be media spokespersons.
“Jordan Media Strengthening Program Grant.” Hired as an independent contractor to design a multi-media news lab at the Middle East University for Graduate Studies in Amman, Jordan. Ongoing grant requiring on-site visits in 2007, 2008 & 2009. Duties include: designing news lab, non-linear editing stations and live production studio; overseeing installation; training university academic personnel on the pedagogy of western-style Video Journalism.
