The Bishop Charles Francis Buddy Humanitarian Award is presented to an alumnus/a in recognition of his or her extraordinary contribution and commitment to humanitarian causes.

The recipient of this award is an individual who:  Embodies the mission and values of the University of San Diego  Exhibits extraordinary contribution and commitment to humanitarian causes  Promotes human welfare, rights and dignity  Advocates peace, justice and freedom  Personifies faith, hope and love.

ELIGIBILITY: All Alumni of the University of San Diego are eligible to receive the Bishop Charles Francis Buddy Award except current members of the faculty, staff, administration, Board of Trustees, Alumni Association Directors, Alumni Honors Recognition Committee and elected officials currently serving office who are not eligible.
