Prizes

The following prizes are experiential and geared towards rewarding teams that challenged themselves and expanded their knowledge during the hackathon.

Grand Prize (announced at Ministerial Dinner): US $10,000 and 4 months mentorship by Angel Ventures

Competition Category Prizes :

 Cultural Heritage: US $2,500 per team  Smart City: US $2,500 per team  Social Inclusion: US $2,500 per team  Entrepreneurship: US $2,500 per team

AT&T Excellence Award - Best Use of AT&T M2X API: US $2,000 cash prize and up to 4 Nanodegree Scholarships from AT&T and Udacity.

Disney Excellence Award - Best App that Promotes Children's Wellbeing: US $2,000 cash prize and specialized training opportunities.

Google Excellence Awards - Best Use of Android and/or Google Technologies (up to 3 awards): Vouchers for Android Developer Nanodegree at Udacity. (To be updated shortly.)

IEEE Excellence Award - Best app that addresses Value Ethical Design: US $1,000 cash prize.

Oracle Excellence Award - Best App for Enterprise Applicability: Expense paid trip to Oracle Mexico Developer Center in Guadalajara for up to 4 team members; includes tour of Oracle facilities and interviews with senior management.
