Re: Workday Rising 2009 User Conference

I’d like to attend Workday Rising 2009 on October 18 & 19 in San Francisco. This is the first year prospective customers are invited to join the conversation, feel the buzz, and engage in networking with the Workday community and team members. I’ll have the unique opportunity to participate in insightful roundtables and sessions, hear from expert users at Workday customers, take an in-depth look at Workday functionality, and partake in one-to-one discussions with Workday team members. In addition, I’ll be able to attend several sessions, customer panels, the opening keynote with Workday Founders Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri, and an Executive Dinner with the Workday Leadership Team. Most importantly, I will learn how to get the most out of an investment in Workday.

I realize the current economic environment is forcing us to scrutinize every dollar spent; Workday realizes this too, which is why they are waiving the registration fee for prospective customers interested in attending Workday Rising. We will only be responsible for airfare and hotel. Workday takes care of everything else, including food and drink. Here’s an estimate on how much my attendance will cost:

Local attendees: Airfare: $0 Transportation: (round trip taxi from airport to hotel) $0 Hotel: (1 night at $289) $0 Total: $0

Traveling from out of the area: Airfare: $400 Transportation: (round trip taxi from airport to hotel) $80 Hotel: (1 night at special rate) $289 Total: $769

Workday Rising is an opportunity for me to collaborate with Workday customers and employees in an effort to learn more about Workday. I’ll also make contacts through networking and gain knowledge of what’s coming in the future for Workday. Ultimately, the conference should deliver an outstanding ROI.

Thank you for considering this request.
