JAMES “JIM” R. BRACEWELL, OF 12 COLUMBIA, FOR HIS FOURTEEN YEARS OF DEDICATED 13 SERVICE AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE 14 SOUTH CAROLINA PHARMACY ASSOCIATION, 15 CONGRATULATING HIM ON BECOMING THE EXECUTIVE 16 DIRECTOR OF THE GEORGIA STATE PHARMACY 17 ASSOCIATION, AND WISHING HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN 18 THE FUTURE. 19 20 Whereas, Mr. Jim Bracewell has been tireless in his service to the 21 South Carolina Pharmacy Association during the past fourteen 22 years as its vice president; and 23 24 Whereas, during his tenure, Mr. Bracewell spent countless hours 25 on legislative issues to promote and protect the South Carolina 26 Pharmacy Association through legislative meetings and public 27 testimonies; and 28 29 Whereas, Mr. Bracewell, because of his consistent leadership, 30 constant participation, and honest feedback was recognized by the 31 South Carolina Society of Association Executives as the 2003 32 Executive of the Year; and 33 34 Whereas, Mr. Bracewell serves as the 2005-2006 President of the 35 South Carolina Society of Association Executives, was elected in 36 2004 to serve as Chairman of the Board of PACE Alliance, and in 37 2004, served on the National Community Pharmacy Association’s 38 Community Care Rx Board of Directors. He also served as Vice 39 President and member of the Executive Committee of National 40 Council of State Pharmacy Association Executives in 2004-2005, 41 and currently serves as the first President of the National Alliance 42 of State Pharmacy Associations; and

1 [1470] 1 1 2 Whereas, Mr. Bracewell, through dedication to his profession, has 3 been recognized by his peers as an honorary member of the 4 University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy’s Phi Lambda 5 and Rho Chi Society chapters, honorary alumnus by the Medical 6 University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy, and Volunteer 7 of the Year by South Carolina Commun-I-Care, Inc. Now, 8 therefore, 9 10 Be it resolved by the Senate: 11 12 That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, recognize Jim 13 Bracewell for his fourteen years of dedicated service as executive 14 vice president of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association, 15 congratulate him on becoming the executive director of the 16 Georgia State Pharmacy Association, and wish him much success 17 in the future. 18 19 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to 20 Mr. James R.
