• Regular news article (front page stuff)

OTHER KINDS OF ARTICLES • Editorial (opinion article) • Personal ad • Advice column (Dear Abby) • Advertisements • Obituary (report on someone’s death) • Sports article • Entertainment review • Cartoons • Other???? Requirements • You will need 3 regular articles and 3 other kinds of articles. • You will need 2 articles about politics in the 20s, 2 articles about economics in the 20s, and 2 articles about society and culture of the 20s. USE YOUR TEXTBOOK FOR INFORMATION. DO NOT JUST MAKE THINGS UP! YOU NEED HISTORICAL FACTS! • You may do more articles for brownie points! • You may work with a partner, but then you must do 12 articles and you must decide ahead of time who will do what articles and write a contract (that you will turn in) saying who will do what (that way if your partner flakes out, you do not get punished).

You will be graded on: • Having accurate information about the 1920s (Your reader needs to learn something) • Having the correct number of articles and 2 articles of each topic • Laying out your newspaper like a newspaper (not just a bunch of papers stapled together) • Neatness, creativity Note: Copying out of the textbook or off the internet is not ok, and you will receive no credit for what you copy. Everything must be in your own words (unless you quote someone). Don’t end up on the Plagiarism Hall of Shame!
