Association of Realtors REALTOR Scholarship Application Criteria The Mission Statement of the Idaho Association of RealtorsEducation Committee reads in part as follows: Promote awareness of the solid educational programs and RealtorInstitute Programs. To encourage youth to enter the field of real estate. Based on this policy, the FOUR RIVERS ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS Selection Committee has established the following criteria to be reviewed when choosing a recipient for the annual scholarships.

1. A scholarship is awarded to a student living in the state of Idaho in Washington or Payette County OR who lives in the state of Oregon in Malhuer County and who has graduated from one of the High Schools in said counties within the past three years. 2. A student may apply for one of the annual scholarships more than once but will only be awarded a scholarship one time. 3. Criteria for Disbursement of scholarship funds which scholarship recipients will be required to provide to the Scholarship committee include: a. Student’s Full Name b. Student’s College Identification Number- Student must have an active enrollment and remain enrolled Full Time. c. If student is choosing a Trade or Vocational School- Student must supply the schools Financial Aide counselors Name, Phone number and email, along with any Student Identification Number if so assigned. Student must also have an active enrollment and remain enrolled Full Time. d. Complete name of College or University and complete mailing address where scholarship check is to be sent to be credited to Student’s Account. 4. The major criteria for selecting a recipient remains the student’s academic achievement record, leadership responsibilities, community contributions and completed application. Need is not necessarily a guideline for selecting scholarship recipients, but all items being equal, it may be used in determining a recipient. 5. An application must be typewritten. The only acceptable hand writing to appear on the completed application is the student’s signature and date and the Realtor’s signature and date. 6. An official high school transcript with cumulative grade point average stamped and signed by an official school representative must be in a sealed envelope and attached to the application. 7. All personal information should be filled out completely. Detail leadership and community service accomplishments/volunteering on a separate sheet if necessary. 8. Applicants are required to submit two recommendation letters or a resume to substantiate their scholarship application. 9. Scholarship funds are required to be disbursed/used for Summer School, Fall Semester or Spring Semester of the upcoming academic year. 10. Applicant must obtain a signature on the application from a Realtorfrom Washington, Payette or Malhuer County acknowledging they have introduced themselves or know a local Realtor. Students residing in Jordan Valley will have the option to call a realtor who actively practices in said counties to be their sponsor. If doing this, student must fax, or email the application to obtain the real estate agents signature. The real estate agent must send the application back to student in a timely manner.
