What Can I Do With A Major In… PROFESSIONAL GOLF MANAGEMENT

General Information: In this degree program you’ll live and breathe golf, but you’ll focus on business, not play. You’ll learn basic management practices in areas such as finance and marketing alongside skills specific to running a golf course. The UCCS Professional Golf Management program, accredited by the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA), is a four-and-one-half to five-year college curriculum for aspiring PGA Professionals. It provides students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the golf industry through extensive classroom studies, player development, and 3 full-time internships. Though the program is geared towards students who are passionate about golf, the general marketing and management skills learned in the program can be applied to virtually any other business situation.
