Job Description and Person Specification Job Title Northside Partnership Finance Assistant - Part Time Reporting to Northside Partnership Finance Manager About Northside The Northside Partnership is a Local Development Company working with Partnership individuals and communities in north east Dublin to bring about positive changes in their own lives and in the life of their community.
A registered Charity, we work to improve opportunities for people experiencing poverty and disadvantage and offer a range of programmes and services to support individuals, local organisations and communities across the Northside Partnership catchment.
Our key beneficiaries include long term unemployed people, early school leavers, those living with addiction issues, disadvantaged families, lone parents and people living with disabilities.
Operating from four locations we provide a range of services including the Local Employment Service, Tus Community Work Placement Programme, Micro Enterprise Supports, Career Guidance, family supports and governance and capacity building supports to local community groups.
Our work is funded by the Irish Government, charitable organisations and private sources.
What is the purpose Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will be part of the of the job? finance team, with responsibility for supporting the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts for a multi- function organisation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable Manage all purchase processing for the business via SAGE 50 plus Support the Financial Administrator on creditor list management i.e. set up new creditors as required and act as point of resolution for all supplier queries Support the Financial Administrator on key supplier statement reviews on a monthly basis Manage all queries from stakeholders Ensure Northside Partnership adheres to all financial policies and best practice for purchasing (Public Procurement Guidelines).

D:\Docs\2017-12-29\072e590839dedd4a45ad75a10f416565.docx Accounts Receivable Manage the invoicing process for the business including daily and monthly batch invoicing, ensuring accuracy with a right first time approach Ensure customer statements are issued on a monthly basis and any queries from customers are followed up and resolved Supporting Credit Control Aged debtor monthly analysis, tracking, reporting and follow up with the Finance Manager Cash and Bank Reconciliation of cash to bank and preparation of the monthly bank Management reconciliation and analysis, to be reviewed with the Financial Manager.
Maintaining Cash and Bank reconciliations to ensure all items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner.
Grant Management Assisting the Finance Manager with monthly, quarterly and annual grant funding returns
Month/Year End Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly finance Support reports while adhering to strict deadlines, providing timely and accurate information
Other Duties Maintaining staff travel claims and ensuring internal control requirements are met. General accounts and administration duties
Person Specification
Qualifications Qualified and experienced Accounting Technician ( ATI or equivalent)
Experience 3-4 years post qualification experience, in a busy accounting environment or similar (prior Community & Voluntary organisation experience is highly desirable) Personal Attributes Ability to plan, prioritise and work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, pressurised environment Problem analysis and problem-solving Excellent attention to detail and accuracy High level of computer literacy including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAGE 50 plus Adaptable and capable of working on own initiative Excellent communication and numeracy skills Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other departments and

Terms and Conditions of Employment Location Northside Partnership, Coolock Development Centre, Bunratty Road, Coolock, Dublin 5 Salary €32,182 - €49,007(Including 1 long service increment) pro rata, starting at Point 1 Contract Type Northside Partnership is offering a five year fixed term contract subject to completion of a successful probationary review Contract Hours 21 hours per week - 3 full days or mornings available Annual Leave 22 working days exclusive of public holidays with one additional day awarded after each year of service up to 25 days pro rata. Travel & Subsistence Travel and subsistence will be paid at public sector rates Probation A probationary period of six months will apply Pension Northside Partnership operates a defined contribution group pension scheme. Employees have access to the scheme on successful completion of their six month probationary period.
