FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food - PCQI training - English or Spanish NEW – now also available to take part 1 online and part 2 as a 1-day live course
Description: This two and a half day (20 hours) blended learning* workshop focuses on developing a preventive approach for identifying and controlling potential hazards in your facility and complying with industry and FDA regulatory requirements. Description: This International HACCP Alliance (IHA) approved 2-day course focuses on developing a preventive approach for identifying and controlling potential significant hazards in your facility and complying with industry and regulatory requirements. HACCP for Agricultural Producers, including the FSMA Produce Safety Rule
Description: This International HACCP Alliance approved course provides instruction for creating a risk assessment plan based on the HACCP approach for controlling food safety hazards.
Attendees participate in interactive exercises, gaining practical knowledge on GAPs, associated risks (microbial, water quality, sanitation) as well as GMPs (HACCP pre-requisites). Establishing control measures, setting critical limits and monitoring procedures, and documenting and verifying outcomes are addressed. The instructor also offers tips on inspection and audit preparation. The new FSMA regulatory requirements for Produce Safety are reviewed and include requirements for worker health, hygiene and training, soil amendments, animal control, and water quality. SCS has supported the agriculture industry for over 30+ years both domestically and globally.

HACCP for Seafood Processors – private only
Description: This 2-day course provides seafood processors with the knowledge necessary to develop and implement a Food Safety Plan based on the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) method. Attendees learn to utilize risk-based preventive methods for identifying and controlling potential food safety hazards specific to seafood and complying with industry and regulatory requirements.
The FDA Fish and Fishery Products Hazards Guide (2011) is used to identify seafood specific hazards. Verification and validation of the HACCP Plan are discussed in detail. Pre-requisite Programs, cGMPs and SSOPs are reviewed as required by the FDA Seafood HACCP regulation. Case studies are used for HACCP Plan development. (Note: This is not an International Seafood Alliance course)

Crisis Management-Product Recall – interactive workshop – private only Description: Meet the requirements of the FSMA Preventive Controls Rule for a documented Recall Plan. This one day interactive course enables participants to anticipate problems, evaluate their traceability program and learn recall procedures. The instructor facilitates mock recall exercises in a classroom setting and participants work in teams, simulating an actual recall. Cancellation & Substitution Policies For Instructor-led Public Trainings
Substitutions: You may substitute another person for no additional fee if you are unable to attend a class. Cancellations: 30 days or more prior to scheduled class – full refund 15-29 days prior to scheduled class – 15% administration fee Less than 15 days prior to scheduled class – no refund Postponing: There is no fee to postpone and reschedule for another class if you notify SCS at least 14 business days prior to the original class date. A 25% fee will be applied for notifying SCS after that time. The replacement course must be scheduled within one (1) year of cancellation or the registration fee is forfeited.
In the event that SCS must cancel a course or change a date or location, liability is limited to the course fee only. The client has the option of a full refund or transfer to an alternative course.
Training Materials: All training course materials are owned by SCS and may not be used without written permission.
For Onsite Private Training at Client’s Venue
Reservation: A 50% deposit is required to reserve the training date(s) and instructor(s). The balance including instructor travel expenses will be invoiced after delivery of the training and is due upon receipt.
