I. Welcome & Call to Order Timothy Burchett

II. Review and Approve Minutes Timothy Burchett Motion to approve January Minutes by Shannon Wiebke. Second by Bob Shaw. Unanimously approved.

III. Review and Approve Budget Vita Ozoude There were some field and equipment expenses that were in question from the 2016 budgets. In Spring 2016, there were high field and equipment expenses due to $3,800 for the new painter. In the Fall 2016 budget, the number was high because we paid $7,250 for new goals, $2,200 for new balls, and $5,900 for miscellaneous equipment (pumps, nets, etc.).

At this time, Tim suggests leaving tabled budget items the same as last year, with the exception of Clinic Training Expenses: Referees which will be $1,275 or $1.50/child.

Motion to approve Annual Budget for 2017-2018 with tonight’s changes by Steve Georgeson. Second by Shannon Wiebke. Unanimously approved.

IV. Regional Commissioner Update Timothy Burchett In-person registration: Saturday, Feb 11th 9am-12pm at Mendive Middle School and Wednesday, Feb 15th 5:30pm-7:30pm at Alf Sorenson Community Center. If you are available to volunteer, please come down. Email blasts and Facebook posts will be sent/posted this week and next. Registration closes on Feb 20th.

1 AYSO Expo is March 3rd-5th in Las Vegas, NV. Registration closes tomorrow, so this is your last chance to let us know if you will be attending.

V. Coach Administrator Update Ken McCarthy Ken has put together a coach packet that will be sent via email for review. Items that may be included are: Coach Checklist, Who to Contact, Region Handbook, Kid Zone Form, Incident Report Form, SAI Information, and tips for running a practice.

Ken will be meeting with Vita to schedule coach training for U-12; we have at least 7 people who need to take the training before fall. All of our current coaches are certified for the appropriate level.

VI. Referee Administrator Update Timothy Burchett Advanced referee training will be held on March 17th and 18th. All of our intermediate referees have been invited. Other referee training dates are in progress.

Chris Griffin is the only referee being allowed to participate in the Western States Championships because he is our only advanced referee.

VII. Equipment Update Timothy Burchett Chris Lanski will be doing inventory at the storage unit this month to start planning for Spring.

The iGo Mini Paint Machine Starter Pack was discussed at the annual meeting, and more information regarding the warranty was requested. We have confirmed that the iGo Mini Paint Machine comes with a 1 year full warranty. Jeannie confirmed that it may require some extra paint at the beginning of the season. It is also recommended that we get the $40 cleaning solution, a $50 extra battery, and the nozzle required for initial painting. We still need to confirm the price of the extra nozzle and shipping. Tim proposes that we approve purchase, regardless of the total. Motion by Bob Shaw to approve purchase. Second by Steve Georgeson. Unanimously approved. February 8, 2017 General Meeting

VIII. U-19 Report Bob Shaw For the U-19 players in the Fall, we will need 2 uniforms for each player. Last year was too difficult with everyone wearing the same color and having pinnies that were the same color or the same color as Carson.

Bob has verbal commitments for 19-21 kids for U-19 in the Spring. He is proposing that we play 6 v 6 on smaller fields with no keepers. We are waiting to hear if there is going to be more field space that we can use for practices. Bob estimates that the short sided games could be played on a U-10 or U-8 sized field and the games would only be 30 minutes, so we would really only need about 90 minutes of field time.

IX. USL Interaction Timothy Burchett Working on an AYSO fundraiser that would involve a Reno 1868 game. Yvette will follow up with the guys at Reno 1868 to see what our options are.

X. Region Handbook Update Timothy Burchett The Region Handbook still needs to be updated. At this time, USSF is allowing AYSO to stick with the July 31st age requirement.

XI. New Business  Changes coming in the Fall: The fall season will be changing from eAYSO to Blue Sombrero for registration, including volunteer registration. We have no idea how this will work until we are set up. Divisions will be renamed from U-12 to 12U, etc.

Motion to adjourn by Shannon Wiebke. Second by Bob Barkley. Approved.

Meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
