Minutes for BC Meeting 2/2/15

In Attendance:

1. BSU (rep by Paola)  Party on Feb 14th in the Powerhouse  Need confetti shooters, water bottles (bc in the powerhouse), streamers, beads, DJ, publicity  Margi gras themed party  Fawzi – do we fund water?  Hao – is this under what has been funded under club budgets o DJ and publicity already under there  Richard – what are the confetti shoorters? o Poppers, similar to decoration o Only fund up to 50 for decorations  Don’t fund giveaways, and water bottles would be a giveaway o Beads will also be giveaways  RJ – has this been approved by the powerhouse committee? o Yes  RJ – have they gotten permission to shoot confetti? May have chargers from facilities o BSU will clean up after the party  Motion to fund – 7,0,0

2. GlobeMed  Requested for a conference on Thursday  Did email Lekya but hasn’t gotten back to her yet  There are also a separate group from GlobeMed requesting for travel fees from her, but haven’t gotten back yet  Need to apply by Sunday  Number of people going has gone down to 8 from 10 (still same amount per person)  Richard – should talk with the other group and consolidate a single budget and try to catch her some time this week and get back by Thursday  Fawzi – does Lekya fund travel? o Does fund sometimes, can fund under her discretion but limited by her budget

3. Hip Hop Club  Need to request for additional rooms for members of Cypherleage – for 10 people  Already have 2 rooms, and need an additional 4 rooms  Want to do 2 people per room for 1 night  Also need food and publicity for first meeting this Thursday  Motion to fund – 7,0,0

4. SHEs  Want to request another 150 on top of funding already given  For my bodys beautiful week, planning on giving out hairbands saying my body is beautiful  Total cost is 450 o Have requested w Lekya, but haven’t gotten back and said would only be able to fund up to 300  Senate project, senate fund  SHEs might be something that should be taken off the BC budgets

5. APU  Want 200 food from 200 food rule for weekly meetings since they are discussion based o Same as what they did last year  Hao – is this in club budgets? o Not in club budgets  Motion to fund – 7,0,0

6. ACEMS  Reimbursement costs that were grandfathered  1k for a girl who graduated 5 years ago (Pamela Jeppson)  Current member who needs her reimbursement early for 300  RJ – how many more will there be? o Will probably be 5-6k for current reimbursements for the semester  Motion to fund – 7,0,0
