THE WORD THAT PROSPERS
1. GOAL
Christians will realize that the Word of God is very important to their lives.
2. INTRODUCTION
The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…(Hosea 4:6). Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two- edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12)." God exhorts His people to know and obey His Word. It is our responsibility to study, memorize, meditate and practice the Word. If we do so, our minds will be renewed and we will be successful. Let us look at what Isaiah said about the Word in Isaiah 55:10-11.

4. CONTENT
Isaiah 55:10-11 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
A) God’s Word never, ever returns to Him void
Copyright © 2000 by New Hope International Church, Seattle The Word That Prospers CG Corr God’s Word accomplishes that which He pleases – it prospers in the thing whereto He sent it. Void means empty, vain, without producing any effect, and useless. God’s Word is never empty, vain or useless. It always produces the result He intended. Just as the rain and the snow come down to water the earth and cause it to be productive and produce seed and food for us, so God’s Word is sent out to be a blessing and to accomplish God’s will and plan. Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Knowing this fact, do you desire to know His Word? What are practical ways to receive the Word of God? Why should we teach God’s sheep the Word of God? Ezekiel 12:25 "For I am the LORD. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it," says the Lord GOD.'" Ezekiel 12:28 "Therefore say to them, `Thus says the Lord GOD: "None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done," says the Lord GOD.'"
B) God uses His Word to accomplish His will Psalms 33:6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. Psalms 105:28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they did not rebel against His word. Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. The entire universe was created and came into being by the words that God spoke. He never wastes His words. If He speaks it, it will come to pass! Jesus was the same way. Luke 4:32 (Amp) says, “And they were amazed at His teaching, for His word was with authority and ability and weight and power.” When Jesus spoke the word of God, He spoke it with authority and power, because He was in the Word and the Word was in Him. He knew what the will of God was because He had spent time in God’s Word and in His presence. He could speak boldly and with results, because He was fully acquainted with God’s will and His plan.
C) You can speak God’s Word boldly and see it produce for you
2 You must first be submitted to the Word of God, having spent time in His presence. When God’s Word is established in your heart and if you have faith in it – you can declare God’s Word with authority and boldness and you will see the power of God manifested. Whatever you decree and declare with godly authority will come to pass. Hebrews 4:2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. Psalms 119:172 My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness. Acts 4:29 "Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word
