THIS IS A SENIORS ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT Tournament Regulations 1. This tournament is sanctioned by Tennis Queensland (TQ) and approved by Tennis Seniors Qld (TSQ) and shall be conducted in accordance with the TSQ Regulations and Guidelines for the conduct of Seniors Round Robin Tournaments; Tennis Australia’s Member Protection By-law and Tennis Australia’s Code of Behaviour.
2. The Tournament Management Committee, hereinafter referred to as the “Committee” shall have the entire control and management of the Tournament. Any matter not specifically covered by these regulations shall be resolved by the Committee, whose decision shall be final.
3. All Queensland resident senior tournament players MUST be financial members of Tennis Seniors Queensland (TSQ $20.00). Players must produce their MYTENNIS ID card if requested.
4. SPECIAL CONDITION: Financial Members of Gayndah & District Tennis Assoc. may pay a ONCE ONLY tournament levy of $10.00 for this tournament. If another seniors tournament is played in 2016 they will be required to pay the full $20.00 TSQ membership fee. Players from other states/countries who are NOT full members of a recognised Senior Club/Assoc, MUST pay a tournament levy of $10.00 for this tournament ONLY.
5. Players may enter one event ONLY from each session. A player entering in a Doubles Event without naming a partner shall accept the partner allocated by the Committee. However, this does not impose any obligation on the Committee to find a partner.
6. ATTIRE: Correct tennis attire must be worn during all matches.
7. TIE-BREAK RULE: The Seniors tie-break rule will be used during this tournament, play one point and change ends and then change after every four points.
8. ENTRY FEES: Singles $20; Doubles $16 per player and must be received by closing date.
9. ENTRIES CLOSE: 27th August 2016 with the President, Greg Baker, Po Box 173, Gayndah, Qld 4625 Cheques to be made payable to Gayndah & District Tennis Assoc.
10. Each competitor must submit a separate electronic entry or hardcopy entry accompanied by all fees and sign the Player Declaration. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by entry fees. Phone/Fax/Email entries will not be accepted. Late entries will not be accepted. Refunds will NOT be given after the draw has been made.
11. Four or more entries must be received in an Event to guarantee the running of that event, otherwise age groups may be combined.
12. If sufficient nominations are received, A and B grade divisions will be conducted.
13. COMMENCEMENT TIME: Play must commence on time. One 3 minute warm-up allowed per player per session. Morning session 8.00am – Afternoon session 1.00 pm. No morning matches/finals to commence after 12.30pm. Any morning matches/finals not completed will be played at the completion of the afternoon matches on the same day and under lights if necessary.
14. WINNERS FORMULA: SETS WON, if equal – games won, if equal – games against, if equal – winner when the player/pairs played.
15. It is the players responsibility to ascertain their draw and playing venue and be in attendance at the courts fifteen minutes before their scheduled time of play.
16. This Tournament is open to all players who are 35 years and over as at 31 December, 2016.
17. Wilson balls will be used exclusively for the Tournament.
18. Each player grants and assigns to Tennis Queensland and Tennis Seniors Queensland the right in perpetuity to make, use and show pictures of him/her, motion or still, taken during the event without compensation.
