To all Lindbergh Flyerette Applicants:

Thank you for your interest in trying out for our team. Our activities begin with the Spirit Festival performance in May. In June we host the Lindbergh Flyerette Pom Pon Camp, which is one of our main fundraisers. The Varsity and JV teams attend UDA Camp in July. Team practices begin in August from 8-10 a.m. When school starts we will practice Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5 p.m. When we are getting ready for major performances, we will either increase the number of practices or lengthen them as needed. Your attendance at all practices is required in order to qualify to perform.

Varsity and Junior Varsity will perform at the Varsity football games on Friday evenings at 7:00. Varsity will also perform at Varsity Basketball games on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7:00 and Junior Varsity will perform at Junior Varsity Basketball games on Friday evenings at 5:30. There will also be additional performances throughout the year, including competitions and community events. Both Varsity and JV attend the National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, FL in early February.

As with any performing group, there are expenses each member must incur. In the past, the girls have spent at least $150.00 on uniforms and there is a $50.00 returnable uniform deposit required. The summer camp will cost approximately $225.00. Last year, girls who worked at our mini camp received half of their camp tuition paid for them. The camp experience gives the girls an opportunity to learn new routines and skills from experts as well as providing an opportunity for the girls to develop into a team with unity, spirit, and enthusiasm. The cost of the camp includes transportation and tuition. Please do not let these costs prevent you from trying out for the team. There are numerous fundraising opportunities available.

No video taping during the clinics or auditions is allowed. The actual tryout audition will be closed to the public. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the coaches listed below.

Sincerely,

Miranda Gelven – Varsity Coach Natalie Shoults – Varsity Coach 729-2400 ext. 1150 729-2400 ext. 1110 [email protected] [email protected]
