NASHOTAH VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2009. Unofficial until approved by the Village Board. Approved as written ( ), or with corrections (X), on __10/7/2009__.

CALL TO ORDER: President Lartz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. CALL TO ORDER

ROLL CALL: Present: Swenson, Johnson, Lartz, Urbanchek, Gardner ROLL CALL

A. MINUTES: Approval of the minutes of August 5, 2009. MINUTES

Swenson moved to approve the minutes as written. Second, Johnson.

VOICE VOTE: Motion declared carried.

B. COMMUNITY COMMENTS: None. COMMENTS

C. COMMITTEE/OFICER REPORTS: REPORTS

1. Police: Chief Donovan presented the monthly report. Report placed on file.

2. LCFD: Urbanchek stated they are working on the budget for the combined fire department and they have hired a new fire chief.

3. Park/Rec: Swenson reported they are working on developing a tree memorial/plaque program for the park.

4. President: He has been working with the fire department on the budget and the possibility of need to budget for the second floor sleeping quarters at the fire station in the 2010 budget.

D. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

1. Request to amend the municipal code Section 7.04(a) as it pertains to NO PARKING parking restrictions to provide for the following: No Parking Between Signs (Referred to VA.) on Edgewood Court and Woodlawn Court; and No Parking Either Side of Street on Nashotah Avenue and Nagawicka Avenue, and to direct the Village Attorney to prepare an ordinance for same (postponed 8/5/09, E-5).

Lartz moved to direct the Village Attorney to prepare an ordinance to prepare an ordinance to amend the municipal code as stated above for adoption at the October Village Board meeting. Second, Johnson.

E. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Presentation from Kent Atwell, Lake Welfare Committee on the Delafield DREDGING referendum questions on the proposed Lake Nagawicka Dredging. PRESENTATION Kent Atwell, Lake Welfare Chairperson, presented information on the dredging referendum in the City of Delafield October and the proposed dredging project.

2. Request to approve contract for assessment services with Magnan ASSESSOR Assessment Service. CONTRACT Urbanchek moved to approve the contract.. Second, Swenson. VOICE VOTE: Motion declared carried.

3. Request to approve services agreement for animal control services. ELM-BROOK AGREEMENT Swenson moved to approve the agreement with the change to 120 days notice of cancellation. Second, Urbanchek. VOICE VOITE: Motion declared carried.

4. Request to approve the agreement for Lock Box Services (tax collection) TOWN BANK TAX from Town Bank. AGREEMENT Johnson moved to approved the agreement with the inclusion of the open records language from John Macy. Second, Gardner.

VOICE VOTE: Motion declared carried. 5. Request to set Trick or Treat hours. TRICK OR TREAT

Gardner moved to set the Trick or Treat hours for Saturday, October 31st from 6pm to 8pm. Second, Urbanchek.

VOICE VOTE: Motion declared carried.

6. Request to approve proposed Fee Schedule beginning 1/1/2010. FEE SCHEDULE

Swenson moved to approve the following fee schedule effective 1/1/2010. Second, Urbanchek.

Dog License – Spayed/Neutered $12 Dog License – Unaltered $17 NSF Check Reprocessing Fee $30 Operator License – Renewal $20 Operator License $35 Special Assessment Letter – Sewer Only $15 Special Assessment Letter – Full $35 Special Assessment Letter – Full Rush $50
